The terminal may be implemented in various forms. in this embodiment, the length of the upper casing 101 is shorter than that of the lower casing 102, and when the upper casing 101 and the lower casing 102 are in the folded state, the reserved display area 1041 of the flexible screen 104 is exposed at the rear end of the lower casing 102, so that the electronic device can be operated through the reserved display area in the folded state.
The folded state in this embodiment refers to a state in which the upper housing 101 and the lower housing 102 are attached together, and at this time, the flexible screen 104 is bent, as shown in fig. 2; the opened state refers to a state in which the upper casing 101 and the lower casing 102 are unfolded in line, and the flexible screen 104 is unfolded in a plane, as shown in fig. 1.
Referring to fig. 3, in one possible implementation, assume that the flexible screen 104 of the electronic device has a full screen display size of 8 inches, a ratio of 1:2.35, and a thickness of only 0.5 mm. The 1:2.35 ratio is the display size of a standard movie, and the electronic device will display a full 8 inch display area when in use, before folding. After the electronic device is folded from top to bottom, the length dimension becomes small, and at the same time, a display area of 3.3 inches is left at the rear end of the lower housing 102, i.e., a reserved display area 1041 is formed. It should be noted that, for convenience of description, the end of the upper casing 101 connected to the lower casing 102 is referred to as a front end, and the free end is referred to as a rear end.
In the scheme, an asymmetric folding design is used, the rotating shaft is arranged at the position above the center of the whole machine, after the electronic equipment is folded downwards, a display area with a certain width (such as 25mm or other widths can be reserved) is reserved at the rear end of the lower shell and used for realizing simple touch screen operation, such as answering a call or replying a short message, so that the requirement of a user on a large-screen mobile phone can be met, hand feeling can be considered, and the electronic equipment is convenient to carry in daily life. Referring to fig. 4 and 5, in a possible solution, the electronic device is provided with a protection cavity 106, the top of the protection cavity is provided with a screen supporting plate 105, when the electronic device is in an open state, the screen supporting plate 105 is closed and supports the flexible screen 104, when the electronic device is in a folded state, the screen supporting plate 105 is opened, and the bent portion of the flexible screen 104 enters the protection cavity 106. When the electronic device is in a folded state, the protection cavity 106 can accommodate the bent portion of the flexible screen 104, and the flexible screen 104 can be effectively prevented from being folded in half to damage the display effect.
In practice, the protection cavity 106 may be disposed in the lower housing 102 and located at the front end of the lower housing 102.
The screen supporting plate 105 includes a first supporting plate 1051 and a second supporting plate 1052, a fixed end of the first supporting plate 1051 is fixed on the rotating shaft structure 103 and rotates along with the rotating shaft structure 103, a fixed end of the second supporting plate 1052 is rotatably fixed on the lower shell 102, and free ends of the first supporting plate 1051 and the second supporting plate 1052 are provided with tooth-like structures engaged with each other.
The second supporting plate 1052 is provided with an elastic device (such as a spring, a spring plate, etc.), and when the electronic device is in an open state, the second supporting plate 1052 rebounds to a closed position under the action of the elastic device.
in this embodiment, the screen supporting plate 105 is arranged, when the upper housing 101 is toggled to drive the rotating shaft structure 103 to realize that the upper housing 101 and the lower housing 102 are continuously turned over, the upper surface of the upper housing 101 and the upper surface of the lower housing 102 can be finally positioned on the same horizontal plane (an open state), in this process, the rotating shaft structure 103 can drive the first supporting plate 1051 to rotate, the flexible screen 104 is unfolded and leaves the protection cavity 106, and when the flexible screen 104 is unfolded to a horizontal plane, the first supporting plate 1051 and the second supporting plate 1052 play a supporting role; or finally, the upper surface of the upper shell 101 and the upper surface of the lower shell 102 are close to each other, and the flexible screen is bent (folded), in this process, the rotating shaft structure 103 can continue to drive the first supporting plate 1051 and the second supporting plate 1052 to rotate, the protection cavity is opened, and the bent portion of the flexible screen 104 enters the protection cavity, so that the flexible screen 104 is prevented from being folded.
in practical application, the first supporting plate can be rotationally fixed on the rotating shaft mechanism, and an elastic device is arranged, namely, the opening and closing of the protection cavity are realized in the same way as the first supporting plate.
the screen supporting plate 105 may also be an elastic flat plate, when the electronic device is in the open state, the elastic flat plate can be deformed under the extrusion of the flexible screen 104 and enter the protection cavity 106 along with the flexible screen 104, and when the electronic device is in the folded state, the elastic flat plate is restored to its original state to support the flexible screen.
In practical applications, the rotating shaft structure 103 may be an integral structure, and penetrates through the front ends of the upper casing 101 and the lower casing 102; two shafts may be provided (as shown in fig. 2), in which case the shaft structure 103 includes: a first rotating shaft 1031 and a second rotating shaft 1032, the first rotating shaft 1031 and the second rotating shaft 1032 being respectively disposed at two sides of the front ends of the upper housing 101 and the lower housing 102.

in a possible solution, the processor is further configured to adjust a display size of the icon or the text in the reserved display area according to a preset interactive interface.
Taking the electronic equipment as a mobile phone as an example, a new interactive interface can be designed on the level of a mobile phone software system by a reserved display area exposed after folding, the size of the displayed icon or character is adjusted to optimize the user experience, and the electronic equipment can be directly used in a folded state in some use scenes.
In practical application, the wake-up condition of the reserved display area may also be set, for example, a user sets a wake-up angle by himself, for example, the wake-up angle is set to 30 degrees, when the included angle between the upper casing and the lower casing is smaller than 30 degrees, the reserved display area is woken up, and a designated application program or notification information is displayed in the reserved display area, so that the user can perform a simple touch operation, for example, answering a call or replying a short message.

The electronic device according to claim 1, wherein a protection cavity (106) is formed at a front end of the lower housing (102), a screen support plate (105) is formed at a top of the protection cavity (106), the screen support plate (105) supports the flexible screen (104) in a closed manner when the electronic device is in an open state, and the screen support plate (105) is opened when the electronic device is in a folded state, and a bent portion of the flexible screen (104) enters the protection cavity (106).

The electronic device of claim 2, wherein the screen supporting plate (105) comprises a first supporting plate (1051) and a second supporting plate (1052), a fixed end of the first supporting plate (1051) is fixed on the rotating shaft structure (103) and rotates along with the rotating shaft structure (103), a fixed end of the second supporting plate (1052) is rotatably fixed on the lower shell (102), and free ends of the first supporting plate (1051) and the second supporting plate (1052) are provided with tooth-shaped structures which are engaged with each other.
4. An electronic device as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that the second blade (1052) is provided with resilient means, under the influence of which the second blade (1052) engages the first blade (1051) when the electronic device is in the open state.

The electronic device according to any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the hinge structure (103) comprises a first hinge (1031) and a second hinge (1032), and the first hinge (1031) and the second hinge (1032) are disposed at two sides of the front ends of the upper housing (101) and the lower housing (102).
6. The electronic device of any of claims 1-5, wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile terminal.
7. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the electronic device is further provided with a processor for adjusting a display interface to the reserved display area for display when the electronic device is in a folded state.
8. The electronic device of claim 7, wherein the processor is further configured to execute a corresponding program according to an operation instruction input by a user in the reserved display area.
9. The electronic device of claim 7, wherein the processor is further configured to resize the icon or text display in the reserved display area according to a preset interactive interface.
