背景技术
内燃机通常燃烧燃料(例如柴油、汽油、天然气等)和空气的混合物。在进入发动机之前,燃料通常在燃烧之前通过过滤器元件以从燃料中去除颗粒物质(例如,灰尘、金属颗粒、碎屑等)。类似地,提供给发动机的润滑剂或润滑油(例如发动机油)也可以通过过滤元件,以便在与发动机连通之前从润滑油中除去颗粒物质。燃料或油可能包括水,水可能积聚在过滤器中并且可能必须被除去。

发明内容
各种实施例提供了一种过滤器组件,其包括限定内部容积的壳体。壳体包括形成在壳体的壳体第一端中的第一联接构件。壳体第一端是无螺纹的。过滤器组件还包括过滤器头。过滤器头包括形成在其表面上的第一螺纹。过滤器组件还包括适配器。适配器包括形成在适配器的适配器第一端上的第二联接构件。第二联接构件与形成在壳体第一端中的第一联接构件接合,以便可拆卸地联接适配器和壳体。在适配器第一端上形成第二螺纹。第二螺纹与在过滤器头中形成的第一螺纹接合,以便可拆卸地联接适配器和过滤器头。

具体实施方式
本文描述的实施例总体上涉及用于在不使用螺纹连接的情况下将壳体固定到过滤器头的系统和方法。通常,壳体具有至少一个形成在壳体的顶部或第一端中的棘爪(例如,突起)特征、过滤器头,该过滤器头具有形成在过滤器头的内表面上的第一螺纹;和适配器,其配置成可拆卸地联接到壳体和过滤器头部。
本文所述的过滤器组件的实施例包括适配器,该适配器包括用于固定壳体的面向内部的联接构件和固定到过滤器头的面向外部的联接构件,不直接在壳体和过滤器头之间使用螺纹连接。适配器可包括公联接构件和母联接构件,其可提供益处,包括例如:(1)允许壳体直接连接到带螺纹的过滤器头,从而允许在旋装式过滤系统中使用任何壳体;(2)提供至少一个分段部分,其允许适配器的结构弯曲,从而使壳体安装在适配器中并允许使用多个连接构件(例如,卡扣配合,棘爪配合等);(3)过滤器头与适配器之间的安全密封面;(4)当适配器与壳体接合时,在密封垫圈上施加垂直载荷而不增加通常存在旋转产品的扭转扭曲;以及(5)通过减少过滤器组件中包括的部件数量降低过滤器组件的组装的制造成本并允许可用的壳体类型的灵活性。

过滤器头70包括流体入口和流体出口,流体入口允许待过滤流体流入过滤器元件50,流体出口允许过滤后的流体流出过滤器元件50。过滤器头70包括过滤器头基部72和从过滤器头基部72的外周延伸的过滤器头侧壁74。过滤器头侧壁74从过滤器头基部72的外周向壳体30延伸。过滤器头70在过滤器头侧壁74的内表面上具有第一螺纹76。第一螺纹76构造成可拆卸地接合适配器10的第二螺纹12,以便联接到适配器10的第一端20。
过滤器元件50可包括旋装式过滤器,其包括壳体30和过滤器元件50。在一些实施例中,过滤器元件50永久地固定或安装在壳体30内。过滤器元件50包括过滤介质52,过滤介质52构造成过滤流体。过滤介质52包括具有预定孔径的多孔材料,并且构造成从流体(例如流过其中的空气)过滤颗粒物质。过滤介质52可包括褶皱介质、波纹状介质、凹槽介质等。设置在过滤介质52的中心内的可以是中心管58。中心管58可构造成支撑过滤介质52和/或允许流体流过过滤介质52。中心管58可包括多个孔,以允许流体(例如,空气、燃料、油等)在通过过滤介质52之后流入过滤器通道。中心管58可以由塑料、金属或任何其他合适的材料形成。

壳体30限定内部容积,过滤器元件50位于该内部容积中。壳体30可以由坚固且刚性的材料形成,例如塑料(例如,聚丙烯、高密度聚乙烯、聚氯乙烯等)、金属(例如,铝、不锈钢等)或任何其他合适的材料。在特定实施例中,壳体30可包括通常具有圆形横截面的圆柱形壳体。在其他实施例中,壳体30可具有任何合适的形状,例如正方形、矩形、多边形等。

如图1A所示,第一联接构件32包括棘爪元件。在一些布置中,第一联接构件32冲压到壳体30中。在其他布置中,第一联接构件32可以铸造或以其他方式形成在壳体30的侧壁中。第一联接构件32构造成可拆卸地接合适配器10的第二联接构件16,以便联接到适配器10的第一端20。
适配器10构造成将壳体30联接到过滤器头70和过滤器元件50。适配器10包括设置在第一端20外部的第二螺纹12、第一端20上的至少一个分段部分14、设置在第一端20内部的第二联接构件16、以及设置在第二端22外部上的多个凹口18。在一些布置中,第二联接构件16包括公-母联接构件对的公联接构件,公联接构件构造成容纳壳体的对应的母联接构件(例如,第一联接构件32)。
通常,适配器10首先接收壳体30,由此适配器10围绕壳体的壳体第一端34周向定位。过滤器头70接收适配器10,由此过滤器头70周向围绕适配器10的第一端20。在将适配器10安装到过滤器头70中时,过滤器头70、适配器10、壳体30和过滤器元件50都可拆卸地联接并在各种位置形成“无泄漏”的密封以便于流体的吸入、过滤、和流出。如将理解的,适配器10可以与多个不同的壳体30一起重复使用(例如,在过滤器维修期间,适配器10可以从用过的壳体30移除,用过的壳体30被丢弃,并且适配器10重新连接到一个具有与联接构件32配合构件的新的壳体30)。适配器10可以由坚固且刚性的材料形成,例如塑料(例如,聚丙烯、高密度聚乙烯、聚氯乙烯等)、金属(例如,铝、不锈钢等)或任何其他合适的材料。
至少一个分段部分14构造成允许在适配器10的第一端20中弯曲,以便于与壳体30联接。分段部分14允许适配器10插入壳体30并将适配器10的第二联接构件16提供给壳体30的第一联接构件32。分段部分14可径向设置在适配器10的第一端上。在一些布置中,分段部分14包括八个分段部分,以在壳体30上提供更大的弯曲和简易的安装。
第二联接构件16包括在第一端20上(例如,在内壁上)面向内部的联接构件,并且构造成与壳体30的第一联接构件32联接。另外,第二联接构件16径向向内延伸。第二联接构件16可在用于形成适配器10的深拉加工过程中形成。在一些布置中,第二联接构件16包括公棘爪元件。然而,适配器10和壳体30之间的连接不特别限于棘爪元件,并且可以是任何其他适当的可拆卸连接,例如卡扣连接等。可以理解的是,当可扩展适配器10连接到壳体30时,在内密封构件54和外密封构件56上施加垂直载荷而不增加通常使用旋转式过滤器组件(需要的)存在的扭转扭曲。
第二螺纹12第一端20上(例如,在外壁上)包括面向外部的螺纹并构造成与过滤器头70的第一螺纹76接合。另外,第二螺纹12径向向外延伸。在一些布置中,螺纹设计是扶壁设计的螺纹设计,由此螺纹由设置在过滤器头70上的螺纹正向固定。在那些布置中,螺纹和/或适配器10的膨胀不会松动或减小施加到密封构件(例如,垫圈)的力。第二螺纹12可以在用于形成适配器10的深拉加工过程中形成。在一些布置中,第二螺纹12每圈包括两个螺纹。然而,适配器10和过滤器头70之间的连接不特别限于螺纹连接,并且可以是任何其他适当的可拆卸连接,例如卡扣连接等。
多个凹口18或凹陷可以形成在适配器第二端22的外表面上。例如,多个凹口18可包括围绕适配器第二端22周向限定的轴向凹口。多个凹口18可以在每个相邻凹口之间以任何合适的间隔定位(即,任意凹口以任何合适的间距定位)。多个凹口18可有助于抓握壳体30,以便将壳体联接和/或脱开,例如与过滤器头70。

过滤器头,所述过滤器头包括在其表面上形成的第一螺纹;和
适配器,所述适配器包括:
第二联接构件,所述第二联接构件形成在适配器的适配器第一端的内部表面上,第二联接构件与形成在所述壳体第一端中的第一联接构件接合,以便可拆卸地联接所述适配器和所述壳体,和:
第二螺纹,所述第二螺纹形成在适配器的第一端的外部表面上,所述第二螺纹与形成在过滤器头中的第一螺纹接合,以便可拆卸地联接所述适配器和所述过滤器头;以及
分段部分,所述分段部分形成在所述适配器第一端上,所述分段部分允许所述适配器第一端中的弯曲以扩展到一大直径,进而接收所述壳体,
其中所述适配器向所述过滤器头的旋转将所述分段部分压缩到所述壳体中。
2.根据权利要求1所述的过滤器组件,其特征在于,所述第一螺纹形成在所述过滤器头的内表面上。
3.根据权利要求1所述的过滤器组件,其特征在于,所述第二联接构件包括突起和棘爪中的一个,并且其中,所述第一联接构件包括所述突起和所述棘爪中的另一个。
4.根据权利要求1所述的过滤器组件,其特征在于,所述第二螺纹形成在所述适配器第一端上的外表面上,并且包括加强构件。
5.根据权利要求1所述的过滤器组件,其特征在于,还包括:
位于所述壳体内部容积内的过滤元件,所述过滤元件包括:
过滤介质;和
联接到所述过滤介质的过滤介质第一端的第一端盖,所述第一端盖包括:
基部,和
围绕所述基部的周边定位的第一端盖凸缘,所述第一端盖凸缘从基部远离过滤元件延伸;和
位于第一端盖凸缘的外表面和壳体第一端的内表面之间的第一端部密封构件,所述第一端部密封构件在所述壳体和所述第一端盖之间形成密封。
6.根据权利要求1所述的过滤器组件,其特征在于,所述适配器永久地连接到所述壳体。
7.一种用于分离器过滤器组件的适配器,其特征在于,包括:
适配器主体;
第一联接构件,其形成在适配器主体的适配器第一端上,第一联接构件构造成接合形成在壳体的壳体第一端的外表面上的第二联接构件,以便可拆卸地联接所述适配器和所述壳体;和
第三联接构件,其形成在所述适配器第一端的外部表面上,第三联接构件构造成接合形成在过滤器头中的第四联接构件,以便可拆卸地联接所述适配器和所述过滤器头;以及
分段部分,所述分段部分形成在所述适配器第一端上,所述分段部分允许所述适配器第一端中的弯曲以扩展到一大直径,进而接收所述壳体,
其中所述适配器向所述过滤器头的旋转将所述分段部分压缩到所述壳体中。
8.根据权利要求7所述的适配器,其特征在于,形成在所述适配器第一端上的所述第一联接构件包括形成在所述适配器第一端上的内表面上的突起。
9.根据权利要求7所述的适配器,其特征在于,所述第三联接构件和所述第四联接构件均包括螺纹联接构件。
10.根据权利要求7所述的适配器,其特征在于,形成在所述适配器第一端上的第三联接构件沿着所述适配器的外圆周表面径向设置。
11.根据权利要求7所述的适配器,其特征在于,形成在所述适配器第一端上的第一联接构件沿着所述适配器的内圆周表面径向设置。
12.根据权利要求7所述的适配器,其特征在于,还包括:
在所述适配器的外表面上形成多个凹口,所述多个凹口是围绕适配器周向限定的轴向凹口,所述多个凹口便于使用者抓握以联接适配器和/或脱离适配器。
13.根据权利要求7所述的适配器,其特征在于,还包括沿着所述适配器的外表面周向延伸的外凸缘,所述第三联接构件构造成连接到所述过滤器头,所述第三联接构件设置在所述外凸缘上。
