含VOC的组合物包含约50wt%至约60wt%的蒸馏水、约35wt%至约45wt%的丙二醇单甲醚(乙二醇醚PM)、约1.25wt%至约1.75wt%的StepanDA-6、约1.25wt%至约1.75wt%的30%氨溶液和约0.25wt%的香料。
该组合物可以基本上不含VOC,或者可以包含非常低量的VOC,例如,该组合物可以包含约0.1wt%至约4wt%的VOC。表3总结了用于形成用于清洁盘管的泡沫的示例性不含VOC的组合物。

工艺200包括将经混合的组合物装入气溶胶罐中(步骤208)。在步骤208中,将经混合的组合物装入适当的容器中,例如气溶胶罐。装填压力和推进剂的量至少根据经混合的组合物的量和气溶胶罐的体积进行调节,以确保所需的泡沫特性。例如,为了装填约220克(g)的经混合的组合物,将喷雾阀压接到位,并用丙烷/丁烷推进剂填充至约70-100磅/平方英寸(psi)。工艺200可以包括将经装填的气溶胶罐(来自步骤208)保持在升高的温度(步骤210)。在步骤210中,经装填的气溶胶可以被加热并在适当的温度下保持适当的时间长度,以确保推进剂完全或基本上与组合物混合。例如,气溶胶罐在温水浴中(例如,温度在60摄氏度(℃)到70℃之间)保持约10到20分钟。在一些实施方案中,可以省略步骤210。
测试
发泡清洁剂的组合物和工艺旨在创造有益的发泡性能,以便在短时间内有效清洁蒸发器盘管。该组合物的表面活性剂、溶剂和每种组分的浓度范围被专门设计为产生厚的空腔填充泡沫,该泡沫能够膨胀以润湿蒸发器盘管的整个或几乎整个表面,并且还能够快速消散和排出以允许小于约20分钟、约15分钟或小于约15分钟的短服务窗口。发泡清洁剂的性能可以通过下面讨论的方式进行测试。
A.泡沫评价试验
一个带有刻度的透明圆筒用于测量体积,其被修改为底部有一个直径约0.25英寸的排水管。将透明的有机玻璃板被切割成覆盖圆柱体顶部的尺寸。将约220g的产品(例如,步骤208中生产的经混合的组合物)置于气溶胶罐中,然后用丙烷/丁烷推进剂填充至70-100psi。将填充后的罐子在温水浴中储存4小时,以确保推进剂与产品完全混合。
罐子装配有注入圆筒的排水管的应用软管。排水管尺寸适合形成紧密配合,以防止在应用过程中发生泄漏。然后将罐子完全排出到气缸中。完全排出时,记录所产生的泡沫的总体积和特性。
在总共15分钟内以选定的时间间隔记录损失的泡沫体积。良好的组合物预计会形成厚的、大体积的泡沫,在15分钟内破裂到其初始体积的25%以下。较差的组合物产生的泡沫太持久且不能及时破裂,或者不能产生所需体积的泡沫。
B.清洁效率评价
清洁效率是在将发泡清洁剂应用于车辆后进行的评价。收集洗涤的流出物并目视检查污染物。建立相对量表来显示效率。
C.泡沫分布型
本文公开的泡沫的性能取决于泡沫特性或泡沫分布型。通过将泡沫输送通过排放管,将泡沫输送到蒸发器盘管的整个表面或几乎整个表面。泡沫被配制为接触并润湿盘管的表面,并保持其结构足够长的时间以提供良好的清洁作用,并足够快地破裂,从而不会在系统中持续存在以及防止过长时间使用车辆。以下在泡沫密度、泡沫体积和泡沫持久性方面来讨论所需的泡沫分布型。
泡沫的密度由构成泡沫的气泡的平均尺寸决定。密度是在排出固定体积的泡沫后按重量测量的。更高密度的泡沫可能更为理想,因为它可以将每单位体积下更大比例的清洁剂输送到蒸发器盘管,从而产生更好的清洁效率。
泡沫的体积(例如,每罐产品的体积)是固定的。本文公开的制剂(例如,表1-3中的组合物)被设计为使得所产生的泡沫的体积足以发挥作用,但不会大到溢出和损坏蒸发器盘管箱外部的部件。基于对许多车辆蒸发器箱和部件的检查,本文公开的组合物和泡沫被设计成为具有约2.5升(L)的平均自由体积(例如,盘管和包含盘管的盘管箱之间的自由空间)的盘管提供足够的清洁作用。
性能的一个关键因素是泡沫在蒸发器盘管箱中持续的时间。本文公开的制剂(例如,表1-3中公开的组合物)被特别设计和调节,使得泡沫可以完全或基本上膨胀并覆盖所有部件,但破裂并流回系统。发泡清洁剂设计用于快速润滑或机械维修,因此可在15至20分钟的维修窗口内使用。一旦车辆重新投入使用,在此时间段内未破裂可能会导致车箱和其他部件受到污染。大多数标准表面活性剂(例如SLS、乙氧基化醇、椰油酰胺和衍生物等)可能会产生大的泡沫,然而它们非常持久,并将在30分钟或更长时间内保持大部分体积。大多数标准表面活性剂也不是很致密或粘稠,并且提供较差的清洁作用。大多数典型的低泡沫表面活性剂(如嵌段EO/PO共聚物等)不能产生足够的泡沫来填充和清洁蒸发器盘管和箱体。
图3是使用本文公开的发泡清洁剂清洁蒸发器盘管的示例性方法300。方法300包括将组合物注入气候控制系统的排水系统中(步骤302)。在步骤302中,将步骤208或210中产生的组合物从气溶胶罐注入(车辆的)气候控制系统的排水系统中以形成泡沫。在一些实施方案中,方法300可以包括在使用气溶胶罐之前(在步骤302之前)将装载的气溶胶罐保持在升高的温度。在使用之前,气溶胶罐可以被加热并在适当的温度下保持适当的时间长度,以确保推进剂完全或基本上与组合物混合。例如,在将发泡组合物喷洒到气候控制系统的排水系统中之前,气溶胶罐在温水浴(例如,温度在60摄氏度(℃)和70℃之间)中保持约10到20分钟。

约20wt%至约50wt%的溶剂;
约0.5wt%至约2.5wt%的表面活性剂;和
约1.25wt%至约1.75wt%的pH和腐蚀控制剂,所述pH和腐蚀控制剂包含30%的氨溶液,
其中,所述组合物被配制为形成用于清洁蒸发器盘管的泡沫。
2.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述泡沫被配制为在小于约20分钟或小于约15分钟内基本消散。
3.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述泡沫被配制为在小于约15分钟内减少至小于初始体积的约25%。
4.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述溶剂包括二丙二醇甲醚、三丙二醇甲醚、丙二醇正丙醚、二丙二醇正丙醚、二乙二醇乙醚、二乙二醇甲醚、二乙二醇正丁醚、乙二醇丙醚、乙二醇正丁醚、三乙二醇甲醚、三乙二醇乙醚、三乙二醇正丁醚、乙酸甲酯、二乙二醇单乙酸乙酯、乙二醇单丁醚乙酸酯、丙二醇单甲醚、二乙二醇单乙醚或它们的组合。
5.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述表面活性剂包括POE为1-9的醇乙氧基化物、非离子表面活性剂、具有1-3摩尔EO的月桂基聚氧乙烯醚硫酸钠/铵、十二烷基硫酸钠/铵、椰油酰胺dea/mea、月桂胺氧化物、烯烃磺酸钠/铵,异癸醇乙氧基化物或它们的组合。
6.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述pH和腐蚀控制剂被配制为实现所述泡沫的pH在8和10之间。

10.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述组合物还包含约0.25wt%的香料。
11.根据权利要求1所述的发泡清洁剂,其中,所述组合物基本上不含挥发性有机化合物。
12.一种制造发泡清洁剂的方法,包括:
在搅拌下将组合物混合第一段时间,形成经搅拌的组合物,所述组合物包含:
约50wt%至约60wt%的水;
约20wt%至约50wt%的溶剂;
约0.5wt%至约2.5wt%的表面活性剂;和
约1.25wt%至约1.75wt%的pH和腐蚀控制剂,所述pH和腐蚀控制剂包含30%的氨溶液;
用水稀释经搅拌的组合物,形成经稀释的组合物,组合物:水的体积分数为约1:8;和
将经稀释的组合物混合第二段时间,形成经混合的组合物。
13.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,所述第一段时间为约3分钟至约5分钟,所述第二段时间为约3分钟至约5分钟。
