Abstract
用于自内燃机接受曲轴箱排放物并使排放物的液体部分与气体部分分离的装置。该装置包括有安装突缘,使液体回到发动机的通道,和至少一层过滤材料。在一个实施方案中,过滤材料可浸油。另一方案有一安装于壳中的螺丝,其位置能阻挡排放物流逸出壳外。该装置包括一个通过PVC管路或进气岐管回到燃烧室的排放物气体部分返回的出口。
Description
本发明涉及内燃机曲轴箱有害排放物的空气污染控制领域,尤其涉及减少排放物的过滤装置。
内燃机在其曲轴箱中含有害污染物。这类污染物由燃烧室的窜气和曲轴在曲轴箱中的旋转动作造成。过去这类有害排放物通过行车气流抽吸管排入空气,或通过曲轴箱强制通风阀(pcvvalve),通入发动机的燃烧室。
有许多本发明试图减少曲轴箱的有害排放,有不同程度的成功。关于本领域中过去的发明,参看第3,450,114;3,463,132;3,779,221;4,089,309;4,167,164;及4,370,971等号。这些发明的一个共同处,或具有一根通向大气的通风管,或具有收集有害排放物的容器,或者在许多情况下为两者的结合。
先有技术一般采用这些部件的一种或二种来将曲轴箱有害排放物过滤或分离。出于至少二个原因,采用这些部件是有问题的。
向大气排放可使空气被吸入燃烧室。这对计算机化的汽车有不利的影响。计算机化的车辆能设计成使空气仅能通过进气岐管吸入燃烧室。加利福尼亚空气资源委员会不允许备有三元触媒或氧化催化剂的汽车使用在专利4,370,971中所公开的通风管。见加利福尼亚空气资源委员会指令D-69-4号。在加利福尼亚州,这种制品仅将大气通风管堵塞后才能出售。
设置收集箱来储存从曲轴箱中分离出的曲轴箱排放物固体部分及液体部分,也是不理想的,因为造成有毒废料。而且这有毒废料事后也必须清除,从而对使用者造成不必要而累赘的问题。
WO 84/03333公开了一种曲轴箱通气装置,其上有一计量装置,位于进口侧,它不能可调地控制从过滤器出来的排放物之排放量。从曲轴箱出来的排放物只有部分通过过滤器,因而有部分重烃排出,过滤效果不好。
本发明设计成无需收集箱便可减少排放物,所以不需将有毒废料收集。为达这目的使用一种特殊的过滤系统,该系统通过空气空间将过滤材料分离,使重烃回流到燃烧室。本发明比过去发明改进,在于更完全过滤较重的不燃烧烃,不需采用通入大气的通气管,或储存曲轴箱排放物液体部分的收集罐。
本发明的一个目的是提供一种用于有效地减少内燃机曲轴箱有害排放物的装置,可独立用于各种不同大小的发动机,并可按选择控制气流的计量。
一种过滤排放物的装置,与连接内燃机的曲轴箱通气管配合,该设备包括:
一壳体;
一个接收曲轴箱排放物的进口;
过滤材料;
用于选择控制该排放物从该壳体排出量的计量装置;该计量装置有一个用螺纹拧入壳体的零件,其位置可阻挡从该壳体排出的排放物流。
本发明的其他目的,与上述的目的,都包括在下面的叙述所说明的和附图所表示的实施例中。

虽然本发明的曲轴箱过滤器可以有许多具体的实施方案,取决于使用的要求,然而本申请所示及说明的大部方案已经实施并试验,全部在减少有害排放物方面有优良的运转效果。
本发明的一个实施方案如图1所示,用标号20表示。图2表示过滤器20的剖视图,本文中指其整体。图1之曲轴箱过滤器20和某一内燃机(未示)一起作用。
两个壳(半部),上壳25,下壳29,包含本发明的内容。在图示的方案中,用上壳突缘22和下壳突缘31将壳25及壳29压配合在一起。这种压配合连接可用胶合或焊接或熔化进一步加强。
进口壳32与发动机曲轴箱直接或用软管连接,使曲轴箱的有害排放物可通过孔24进入过滤器。出口27有孔28,该孔使过滤后的气体可通到汽车的曲轴箱强制通风阀(PCV),或柴油机的进气岐管进入燃烧室。如所示,出口27还有台阶式倒锥以牢固地保持PCV管路或进气岐管。
进口32的设计成能与内燃机的曲轴箱出口配合。进口的壳32压装在壳29中。
与前相似,斜面23正好配置在进口32的上方,使较重的烃可回流回到曲轴箱。滤网26a配置在斜面23的顶端上,以承放一批用以滤出重烃的珠粒硅吸附剂21。硅珠粒21一般为二氧化硅。据发现,将硅珠粒21浸在燃油改良物质中,例如燃油添加剂(STP),莫雷稳定剂(Morey′sStabilizer)或释能剂(Energy Release)中,可很大提高其性能。过滤材料也可用硅胶或碳粒,或二者的结合。
将滤网26b放在硅珠粒21的上方,以便将它们保持在适当的位置。滤网26a及26b可用塑料或不锈钢,或两者的结合来制成,视产品的要求为定。
如图2所示,在这过滤器中,可采用当前汽油发动机中常用的标准PCV阀,进一步简化该装置的安装。进口32内装有弹簧29及阀38,起PCV阀的作用。用垫圈40保持阀38的密闭状态。熟悉本领域者可理解,有PCV阀的车辆,或不需PCV阀的车辆,可省却垫圈40,弹簧39及阀38。
图3及4示又一种方案。这方案与上一方案极相似,但它用金属壳。
因用金属壳,故壳25a与29a可用螺纹装配。此外,有孔48的出口47,与出口管接头46连接。出口管接头46与壳25a通过连接器42连接。
可结合于前面的方案中的另一个重要特点,是进口壳32a上的肩台37。肩台37可使进口壳32a按预定深度插入,以调节流量。
参看图5,它表示了本发明的另一实施方案。与图1及3所示方案相似,本实施有空气计量螺丝52。
图6为图5所示方案的剖视图,它更清楚地表示了空气计量螺丝52和另一经改变的特点,阀54。将空气计量螺丝52按时针方向拧入壳体的螺纹62,螺丝便向里移动,改变对通过出口56的流量的节制。将空气计量螺丝52相对壳体螺纹62逆时针转动,空气计量螺丝便向外退出,从而使通过出口56的流量逐渐增加到额定值。这种在某一范围内增减流量的性能,为调节过滤器50以适用于不同大小发动机提供了保证。
阀54与图4中的PCV阀38相似,但已经减短。尽管这种阀54和阀38一样不能调节流量,但由于突片60有轻微的刮擦作用,故仍有清理表面58上的滤渣的功能。
图7为实施方案50提供了分解视图。出口组合件70具有带柱环66的壳64。柱环66压装在过滤器壳顶72内。熟悉本领域者应不难领会,除本文上述的差别外,过滤器50的其他方面都与图3及4所示的实施方案相似。
在图1,4所示的方案中,曲轴箱排放物通过PCV阀38,由真空抽入进口32,在其中接触裹有机油添加剂的硅珠粒21。裹覆物填充硅珠间隙。过滤材料21也可以是硅胶,或碳粒,或两者的结合。
这裹覆层在过滤材料21间隙间形成一种粘液状膜障。这粘膜阻止液体及固体进入燃烧室。仅允许洁净的可燃气体通过这过滤器。曲轴箱排放物的液体部分,在发动机每次停车时排回曲轴箱,免却用罐收集这些液体。
图5-7示的另一实施方案,采用空气计量螺丝52。该方案的操作与其他方案相似。可免却PCV阀,因为流量可藉空气计量螺丝52调节。
这里说明而选定的各方案的种种变化及修改,为熟悉本领域者易于想见。凡不背离本发明精神的这些变化及修改的范围,都应包括在发明范围内,这个范围仅由下述权利要求书的清晰说明来评述。
对本发明及其优先实施方案用简明的措辞已作了充分叙述及公开,使熟悉本领域者可理解并实施本发明,本发明的权利要求书如下。
Claims (10)
1.一种过滤排放物的装置,与连接内燃机的曲轴箱通气管配合,该设备包括:
一壳体;
一个接收曲轴箱排放物的进口;
过滤材料;其特征在于:
还包括用于选择控制该排放物从该壳体排出量的计量装置,该计量装置有一个用螺纹拧入壳体的零件,其位置可阻挡从该壳体排出的排放物流。
2.如权利要求1所述之装置,其特征为该过滤材料用燃油涂覆。
3.如权利要求1所述之装置,其特征为该过滤材料用燃油改良剂涂覆。
4.如权利要求3所述之装置,其特征为该燃油改良剂为燃料添加剂(STP)。
5.如权利要求3所述之装置,其特征为该燃油改良剂为释能剂(Energy Release)。
6.如权利要求3所述之装置,其特征为该燃油改良剂为莫雷稳定剂(Morey’s Stabilizer)。
7.如权利要求1所述之装置,其特征为该过滤材料为硅胶及碳粒混合物。
8.如权利要求1所述之装置,其特征为该过滤材料为硅胶。
9.如权利要求1所述之装置,其特征为该过滤材料为碳颗粒。
10.如权利要求1所述之装置,其特征为该过滤材料为硅珠粒。
