Abstract
The invention discloses a method for reporting service information, comprising the following steps of: detecting and analyzing currently-flowing service data streams and acquiring service information of the currently-flowing service data streams by a deep packet inspection technology (DPI) functional entity; reporting the detected service information to a decision entity of policy and charging rule function (PCRF) by the DPI functional entity; and customizing a policy control and charging (PCC) control architecture policy by the PCRF according to the detected service information. The invention also discloses a device for reporting the service information. Based on the method and the device, the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information of the currently-flowing service data streams to the PCRF to enable that the PCRF to customize the PCC policy according to the service information so as to realize the QoS control on an AF-free service.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of Policy and Charging Control technology, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for reporting service information in Policy and Charging Control (PCC) of the third Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP).
Background
In the existing PCC architecture, as shown in fig. 1, a Policy and Charging Rules decision entity (PCRF) is mainly responsible for making Policy and Charging Rules. The PCRF issues the formulated PCC Policy and Charging rules to a Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF) through a Gx interface, the PCEF installs and enforces the PCC Policy, reports related events and interacts Charging information with a Charging system.
The PCRF issues a Quality of Service (QoS) rule to a Bearer Binding and Event reporting entity (BBERF) through a Gxx interface, where the BBERF does not interact with a charging system and is only responsible for Bearer Binding and reporting of related events.
The service Function entity (AF, Application Function) is a Function entity related to a service, and provides service information to the PCRF through the Rx interface, the Subscription database (SPR) stores the service information subscribed by the user, and the PCRF can query the service information subscribed by the user to the SPR through the Sp interface. The PCEF sends the Online Charging information to an Online Charging System (OSC) through a Gy interface to account for Online Charging, and sends the Offline Charging information to an Offline Charging System (OFCS) through a Gz interface.
Currently, in a PCC architecture, a PCRF may dynamically issue a PCC policy to a PCEF, where policy information includes QoS and charging information.
And the PCRF formulates a PCC strategy according to the service related information provided by the AF, the bearing related information reported by the PCEF and the service information signed by the user in the SPR. However, in the existing network layout, there are many scenarios without AF, but there are many non-IMS applications, such as services like VoIP (Voice over internet Protocol), IPTV (IPTV), Video On Demand (VOD), and network games, which include an architecture defined by an IP Multimedia System (IMS) application and closely fit with a PCC architecture.
IMS applications differ from non-IMS applications in that: IMS applications typically use Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling and have a designed and predefined network intelligence framework to support service delivery; and non-IMS applications cannot adapt to an IMS infrastructure based on SIP signaling, so that the non-IMS services cannot interact information with the PCRF through an Rx interface.
Therefore, when the PCRF makes policy decision, it cannot know the AF-free service information, so the PCRF cannot make a corresponding PCC policy for the PCEF, thereby implementing QoS control on the AF-free service.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of this, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for reporting service information, which enable a DPI functional entity to report detected service information of a current service data flow to a PCRF.
In order to achieve the purpose, the technical scheme of the invention is realized as follows:
the invention provides a method for reporting service information, which comprises the following steps:
detecting and analyzing a current flowing business data flow by a DPI functional entity to obtain business information of the current business data flow; the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to a policy and charging rule decision entity PCRF; and the PCRF customizes a policy control and charging control architecture (PCC) policy according to the detected service information.
Wherein the detected service information is: feature information or service type information.
The method further comprises the following steps: and presetting the matching relation between the characteristic information and the service type information.
The DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to the PCRF:
the DPI functional entity directly reports the detected service information to the PCRF, or the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to a policy and charging enforcement functional entity (PCEF), and the PCEF forwards the detected service information to the PCRF.
The DPI functional entity detects and analyzes the service information of the current service data flow obtained by the current service data flow, and the service information is: the feature information, then the method further comprises:
the DPI functional entity obtains service type information according to the feature information obtained by detection and the matching relation between the preset feature information and the service type information; and directly reporting the service type information or forwarding the service type information to the PCRF by the PCEF; or,
the DPI functional entity directly reports the detected characteristic information to the PCRF; the PCRF obtains service type information according to the feature information and the matching relationship between the preset feature information and the service type information; or,
the DPI functional entity reports the detected characteristic information to a PCEF; and the PCEF obtains the service type information according to the characteristic information and the matching relationship between the preset characteristic information and the service type information, and reports the service type information to the PCRF.
The PCRF customizes a PCC policy according to the detected service information as follows:
the PCRF searches the service information which is stored by the PCRF and signed by the current user according to the service type information;
and the PCRF customizes a PCC strategy according to the service type information by combining the service information signed by the user and the bearing related information of the current user stored by the PCRF.
The method further comprises the following steps: and the PCRF issues the customized PCC strategy to the PCEF.
The invention also provides a device for reporting the service information, which comprises: a DPI functional entity and a PCRF, wherein,
the DPI functional entity is used for detecting and analyzing the current flowing business data flow, acquiring the business information of the current business data flow and reporting the detected business information to the PCRF;
and the PCRF is used for receiving the detected service information and customizing a PCC policy according to the detected service information.
The device also includes:
and the PCEF is used for receiving the service information detected by the DPI functional entity and forwarding the detected service information to the PCRF.
The PCRF is further used for issuing the customized PCC strategy;
the PCEF is further configured to receive the issued PCC policy.
The invention introduces DPI technology in PCC architecture, the DPI functional entity detects the service data flow of the user, extracts the characteristic information of the service data flow, and analyzes the characteristic information to obtain the service information corresponding to the service data flow, such as service type; the DPI functional entity directly or indirectly reports the service information of the service data flow to the PCRF through the PCEF, so that the PCRF customizes the PCC strategy according to the service information, and QoS control is realized on the services without AF.

Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present invention is further elaborated below with reference to the drawings and the specific embodiments.
The invention introduces DPI technology in PCC architecture, the DPI functional entity detects the service data flow of the user, extracts the characteristic information of the service data flow, and analyzes the characteristic information to obtain the service information corresponding to the service data flow. The DPI technology analyzes the content below four layers of an IP packet, including the content below four layers, such as a source IP address, a destination port number, a protocol type, and the like, and further including seven application layers, such as information of a seven-layer feature Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
When a DPI functional entity detects that the service data flow passes through, the IP message in the service data flow is detected and analyzed, so that the characteristic information such as a source IP address, a destination port number, a protocol type, a seven-layer characteristic URL and the like can be obtained, and the service type information matched with the characteristic information can be found according to the characteristic information. In the invention, the service information can be characteristic information such as a source IP address, a destination port number, a protocol type, a seven-layer characteristic URL and the like, and can also be service type information matched with the characteristic information. The matching relationship between the characteristic information and the service type information can be set in the system in advance.
And the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to the PCRF, and the PCRF customizes the PCC policy according to the service information and sends the PCC policy to the PCEF.
The architecture of the PCC system of the present invention is illustrated by the specific embodiments below.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of an architecture of a PCC system according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in the diagram, a DPI functional entity reports service information to a PCRF through an Rx' interface. The invention expands the function of the Rx interface by methods such as parameter configuration and the like to form the Rx interface, so that the DPI functional entity can report service information to the PCRF through the Rx interface. Therefore, the PCRF and the DPI functional entity connected through the Rx' interface constitute a device for reporting the service information of the present invention. The DPI functional entity is used for detecting and analyzing the current flowing business data flow, acquiring the business information of the current business data flow and reporting the detected business information to the PCRF; and the PCRF is used for receiving the service information detected by the DPI functional entity and customizing the PCC policy according to the detected service information.
Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of an architecture of a PCC system according to a second embodiment of the present invention, where, as shown in the diagram, a DPI functional entity reports service information to a PCRF through a PCEF. The invention expands the function of the Gx interface by methods such as parameter configuration and the like to form the Gx 'interface, so that the PCEF can report the service information acquired by the DPI functional entity to the PCRF through the Gx' interface. Therefore, the DPI functional entity, and the PCRF and the PCEF connected through the Gx' interface constitute another device for reporting service information in the present invention. The DPI functional entity is used for detecting and analyzing the current flowing business data flow, acquiring the business information of the current business data flow and reporting the detected business information to the PCEF; the PCEF is used for receiving the service information detected by the DPI functional entity and forwarding the detected service information to the PCRF; and the PCRF is used for receiving the detected service information forwarded by the PCEF and customizing the PCC policy according to the detected service information.
The following describes a processing flow of reporting service information according to the present invention by using a specific embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a schematic flow chart of a method for reporting service information according to a first embodiment of the present invention, where as shown in the figure, the processing flow includes:
step 401, detecting a service data stream, and acquiring feature information; and obtaining the service type information according to the characteristic information.
When the user finishes the access network attachment, that is, the user is on-line, a new service is initiated, and a service data stream for the user to use the service is generated. When the DPI functional entity detects that a service data stream flows through, the DPI functional entity detects the service data stream, analyzes an IP message in the service data stream, and acquires characteristic information of the service data stream, including information such as a source IP address, a source port number, a destination IP address, a destination port number, a protocol type and a seven-layer characteristic URL.
Then, the DPI functional entity obtains the service type information, such as a service ID, matching the current feature information according to the matching relationship between the feature information and the service type information preset in the system.
And step 402, reporting the service type information to the PCRF.
After the DPI functional entity obtains the service type information of the current service, the DPI functional entity uses the service type information as a detection report of the current service data stream, and directly reports the service type information to the PCRF through an Rx' interface.
After receiving the detection report of the current service data stream, the PCRF can obtain the service information of the service data stream, that is, the service type information; and the PCRF searches the current user signed service information stored by the PCRF according to the detected service information, and if the PCRF does not store the signed service information, the service information signed by the user is acquired from the SPR and is stored. And then the PCRF customizes the PCC strategy according to the service information in the detection report by combining the service information which is stored by the PCRF and signed by the user and the bearing related information, and sends the PCC strategy to the PCEF. The bearer related information includes the network type of the current access network, the QoS related information requested by the user, and the like, and when the user attaches to the network, the bearer related information is stored in the PCRF through an access network bearer establishment request sent to the PCRF by the user.
It should be noted that, if the DPI functional entity directly reports the detected service information to the PCRF through the Rx' interface, the PCRF issues the customized PCC policy to the PCEF through the Gx interface; and if the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to the PCRF through the PCEF, the PCRF issues the customized PCC strategy to the PCEF through the Gx' interface.
Fig. 5 is a schematic flow chart of a method of reporting service information according to a second embodiment of the present invention, where as shown in the figure, the processing flow includes:
step 501, detecting a service data stream, and acquiring characteristic information; and obtaining the service type information according to the characteristic information.
This step is the same as step 401 and is not described here again.
Step 502-503, reporting the service type information to the PCEF; and the PCEF reports the service type information to the PCRF.
After the DPI functional entity obtains the service type information, the service type information is reported to the PCEF as a detection report; the PCEF reports the detection report to the PCRF through the Gx' interface, and then the PCRF obtains service information, i.e., service type information, from the detection report.
Fig. 6 is a schematic flow chart of a method of reporting service information according to a third embodiment of the present invention, where as shown in the figure, the processing flow includes:
601-602, detecting a service data stream and acquiring characteristic information; and then reporting the characteristic information to the PCEF.
In the processing flow, the DPI functional entity reports the detected feature information of the current service data flow to the PCEF as a detection report.
603-604, the PCEF obtains the service type information according to the characteristic information; and then reporting the service type information to the PCRF.
After receiving the detection report, the PCEF obtains the detected service information, i.e., the feature information. The PCEF obtains service type information, such as a service ID, matched with the current feature information according to a matching relationship between the feature information and the service type information preset in the system.
And then the PCEF reports the service type information to the PCRF through a Gx' interface.
Fig. 7 is a schematic flow chart of a method of reporting service information in a fourth embodiment of the present invention, as shown in the figure, the processing flow includes:
701, detecting a service data stream to obtain characteristic information.
702-703, reporting the characteristic information to PCRF; and obtaining the service type information according to the characteristic information.
The DPI functional entity takes the detected characteristic information of the current service data flow as a detection report and reports the detection report to the PCRF through an Rx' interface; after receiving the detection report, the PCRF acquires the detected service information, that is, the feature information, and acquires the service type information, such as the service ID, that matches the current feature information according to a matching relationship between the feature information and the service type information preset in the system.
Fig. 8 is a schematic flow chart of a method of reporting service information according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention, where as shown in the figure, the processing flow includes:
801, detecting service data flow and obtaining characteristic information.
And 802, reporting the characteristic information to the PCEF.
And 803, reporting the characteristic information to the PCRF.
And 804, obtaining the service type information according to the characteristic information.
In the processing flow, the DPI functional entity uses the detected feature information of the current service data stream as a detection report, and reports the detection report to the PCEF; the PCEF reports the detection report to the PCRF through a Gx' interface; and after receiving the detection report, the PCRF acquires the detected characteristic information and acquires service type information, such as a service ID and the like, matched with the current characteristic information according to the matching relationship between the preset characteristic information and the service type information in the system.
After acquiring the service type information of the current service, the PCRF customizes the PCC policy according to the detected service information, in combination with the service information signed by the user and the bearing related information stored by the PCRF, and sends the PCC policy to the PCEF.

Claims (10)
1. A method for reporting service information is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps:
detecting and analyzing a current flowing business data flow by a DPI functional entity to obtain business information of the current business data flow; the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to a policy and charging rule decision entity PCRF; and the PCRF customizes a policy control and charging control architecture (PCC) policy according to the detected service information.
2. The method for reporting service information according to claim 1, wherein the detected service information is: feature information or service type information.
3. The method for reporting service information as claimed in claim 2, wherein the method further comprises: and presetting the matching relation between the characteristic information and the service type information.
4. The method for reporting service information according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the reporting, by the DPI functional entity, the detected service information to the PCRF is:
the DPI functional entity directly reports the detected service information to the PCRF, or the DPI functional entity reports the detected service information to a policy and charging enforcement functional entity (PCEF), and the PCEF forwards the detected service information to the PCRF.
5. The method for reporting service information as claimed in claim 4, wherein the service information of the current service data flow obtained by the DPI functional entity detecting and analyzing the current flowing service data flow is: the feature information, then the method further comprises:
the DPI functional entity obtains service type information according to the feature information obtained by detection and the matching relation between the preset feature information and the service type information; and directly reporting the service type information or forwarding the service type information to the PCRF by the PCEF; or,
the DPI functional entity directly reports the detected characteristic information to the PCRF; the PCRF obtains service type information according to the feature information and the matching relationship between the preset feature information and the service type information; or,
the DPI functional entity reports the detected characteristic information to a PCEF; and the PCEF obtains the service type information according to the characteristic information and the matching relationship between the preset characteristic information and the service type information, and reports the service type information to the PCRF.
6. The method of reporting service information as claimed in claim 5, wherein the step of the PCRF customizing the PCC policy according to the detected service information is as follows:
the PCRF searches the service information which is stored by the PCRF and signed by the current user according to the service type information;
and the PCRF customizes a PCC strategy according to the service type information by combining the service information signed by the user and the bearing related information of the current user stored by the PCRF.
7. The method for reporting service information as claimed in claim 6, wherein the method further comprises: and the PCRF issues the customized PCC strategy to the PCEF.
8. An apparatus for reporting service information, the apparatus comprising: a DPI functional entity and a PCRF, wherein,
the DPI functional entity is used for detecting and analyzing the current flowing business data flow, acquiring the business information of the current business data flow and reporting the detected business information to the PCRF;
and the PCRF is used for receiving the detected service information and customizing a PCC policy according to the detected service information.
9. The apparatus for reporting service information as claimed in claim 8, wherein the apparatus further comprises:
and the PCEF is used for receiving the service information detected by the DPI functional entity and forwarding the detected service information to the PCRF.
10. The apparatus for reporting service information as claimed in claim 8 or 9,
the PCRF is also used for issuing the customized PCC strategy;
the PCEF is further configured to receive the issued PCC policy.
