In the existing electronic cigarette, the working parameters are all displayed on a display screen, and after a user knows the current parameter value on the display screen, the user sets the working parameters through keys or other elements. However, the display screen is relatively expensive and difficult to maintain, and many electronic cigarettes are not provided with the display screen. The parameter setting mode may be entered after the electronic cigarette receives an operation signal (e.g., pressing a key) triggered manually and used for setting the output parameter, or may be entered automatically after the electronic cigarette is turned on. Alternatively, the output parameter may include one or more of output temperature, output power, and output voltage, and the operation signal for setting the output parameter may be a number of consecutive presses of the power key. For example, two sets of output temperature, three sets of output power, and four sets of output voltage are provided.
In the parameter setting mode, when receiving a parameter switching signal, the indicating module alternately displays different indicating signals, optionally, the parameter switching signal may be a power key being pressed, and the indicating signal is a lighting color and/or a lighting number. For example, the lighting colors are green, yellow, orange, red, and the number of lighting is 1 to 4. When receiving the parameter switching signal, the indication module alternately displays different indication signals, which may be set as: the lighting color is alternately displayed and/or the number of lights is increased or decreased every time a parameter switching signal is received. For example, each time the power key is pressed, the lighting colors can be sequentially changed by green, yellow, orange and red, and the number of lighting can be increased by 1 (or 1 if the current number is 4). Of course, when entering the parameter setting mode, the indication signal may display default values, such as 3 lights, which are orange in color.
Alternatively, different indication signals correspond to different output parameters, and may be set according to the following correspondence table.

Alternatively, the parameter determination condition may be that an acknowledgement signal is received (e.g., two power keys are pressed), or that no operation is performed within a preset time period (e.g., 5 seconds).

Alternatively, the time determination condition may be that an acknowledgement signal is received (e.g. two power keys are pressed), or that no operation is performed within a preset time period (e.g. 5 seconds).
