背景

在操作中,下游层128的增加的厚度140和增加的材料密度可以帮助减压分配到上游层126和歧管110上。在一个示例性实施例中,上游层126可以具有大约80gsm的密度,并且下游层128可以具有大约150gsm的密度,这样使得下游层128对上游层126的相对厚度是大约1.875。在其他示例性实施例中,对于其他应用,下游层128与上游层126的相对厚度可以落在从大约1.5至大约3.0的范围中。通过下游层128分配减压可以帮助上游层126的疏水侧130的芯吸作用,这样使得从组织部位106汲取的流体可以被更均匀地分配在敷料102中。反过来,从组织部位106汲取的这些流体的更均匀的分配可以提供吸收构件124的更有效的使用,从而增加更换敷料102之间的时间,并且降低成本,因为需要更少的敷料来吸收等量的流体。
通过在小袋112的顶侧用疏水侧136配置下游层128,在一个区域中,当吸收构件124变得饱和、或凝胶阻塞时,敷料102可从吸收构件124获得游离流体。敷料102然后可以芯吸并在敷料102的顶部之上重新分配流体,这样使得流体芯吸发生在小袋112的两侧上。例如,当吸收性材料124的区域变得饱和时,下游层128的亲水侧134可以从吸收性材料124汲取和获得过量的流体进入亲水侧134的相邻部分。此过量的流体然后可迁移到下游层128的疏水侧136中。疏水侧136的疏水性质可以使该流体沿着疏水侧136的纹理(未示出)沿着下游层128的宽度横向移动。当该流体到达其中下游层128的在下面的亲水侧134和吸收构件124是不饱和的位置时,该流体可以从疏水侧136的外表面汲取回到亲水侧134和吸收构件124。因为亲水性从疏水侧136到亲水侧134并进一步到吸收构件124的增加的梯度,流体将朝向吸收构件124被汲取回上游,现在进入不饱和的吸收构件124的区域中。这提供了在小袋112中的最佳流体分配和吸收,并且此外可以防止吸收性材料124的过早饱和或凝胶阻塞。
如在此所描述,上游层126和下游层128的定位可以定向上游层126和下游层128的纹理,其方式为使得增加吸收构件124的有效使用。通过使用提供芯吸功能的材料,可以改善可获得的吸收性材料的有效使用。
芯吸流体并增多减压的层的使用允许可获得的吸收性材料的控制使用。如以上描述安排的这些层将减压分配成使得流体可以被更均匀地分配到该小袋的吸收构件上,从而当更多的流体通路被用于分配该流体时,增加使该吸收构件的吸收性材料饱和所需的总时间。使用形成具有不同亲水性结构的小袋的多个层允许对进入该小袋的吸收构件的这些流体的更好的控制。使用具有不同涂覆重量的多个层允许小袋的特性以一种技术上更好且成本有效的解决方案来匹配于应用。所披露的解决方案将产生在达到容量之前更高水平的吸收,而不需要另外的吸收性材料。
