Abstract
The compound material structural component (1) has an elongated and surface extension. It is particularly for the formation of a width union, particularly in the context of boards and planks. In each parallel long side (2,3) a profile (4,5) is formed, which on its face side extending out of the structural component is provided with a profiling acting as connection by abutment.
Description
The invention relates to a component made of a composite material with an elongated and flat expansion according to the preamble of claim 1. Such components are used, for example, for the construction of floors, ceilings, paneling or similar width associations.
The connection is made in known components of this type via a tongue and groove connection. It is not possible to mill out more complicated shapes that serve as butt joints because of the fragility of the material and the risk of subsequent damage during transport and / or handling. Routing ordinary grooves is already relatively difficult, and careless handling causes the groove legs to break out.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a component of the type mentioned at the outset which, even with relatively brittle and brittle materials, permits a faultless and clean butt joint. According to the invention, this object is achieved with a component having the features in claim 1. The known disadvantages can be avoided by inserting a profile into the long sides with a profiling which serves to connect by means of an impact. Relatively complex cross-sectional shapes of the butt joint can also be easily implemented. The embedded profiles also reinforce the long sides of the components, so that the risk of damage before installation is avoided.
The profile is preferably provided with a groove on one side and a bung on the other side. A simple rebate or even a blunt butt would also be conceivable.
Particularly good results can be achieved if the groove and bung are arcuate in cross-section. A good and positive connection is always guaranteed and the assembly is made much easier. The bung can have lateral shoulders which are flush with the end face or with the long side of the component. The groove can have groove legs protruding from the end face of the component, which are supported on the shoulders of an adjacent sheet pile. An inclined insertion and tilting of the components can be made possible if the groove has groove legs of different depths.
The component is preferably a cement-bonded particle board or a wood wool board also bound with mineral material. However, other composite materials based on cork, rubber, wood fibers and the like are also suitable for the equipment according to the invention. The profiles can be made of solid wood, which can be easily machined using appropriate milling tools. But profiles made of plastic material or in certain cases even profiles made of metal are also conceivable. The profiles are preferably glued into the building board. A bouncing or a connection using screws, nails or pins would also be conceivable.
The invention also relates to a width bandage consisting of several boards or planks made of a composite material, in particular of cement-bonded chipboard, in which a profile with a groove or with a bung is embedded on the abutting longitudinal sides, the groove and bung having an arcuate cross section and wherein the groove has groove legs of different depths. This can be, for example, a ceiling panel, with the shorter groove leg lying on the upper, invisible side. The longer groove leg extends over the entire width of the butt joint on the visible side.
An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and will be described in more detail below. Show it
1 shows a cross section through a component according to the invention, and
Fig. 2 shows a partial cross section through a width structure of several components under construction.
1 shows a component 1, which may have an extension of several meters in length, for example. The component consists of a cement-bonded particle board with, for example, approx. 45 volume percent wood chips and approx. 35 volume percent mineral binders.
On the two long sides 2 and 3 of the element, a profile 4 and 5 made of solid wood, e.g. glued in beech wood, the profiles initially having a rectangular cross-section, that is to say not yet having any actual profiling. After the profiles have been glued in, the edges are already well protected and can no longer break out. Then the entire long sides 2 and 3 are machined with the profiling of the profiles 4 and 5 in a single operation using correspondingly shaped knives or milling tools. A very high dimensional accuracy is thus achieved overall.
On the profile 4, a bung 7 is formed with a circular cross-section, which ends in a shoulder 8 on both sides. The profile 5 is provided with a groove 6, the cross section of which is complementary to that of the bung 7. The groove 6 is delimited by groove legs 9 and 10, which protrude from the component. The groove leg 9 is designed to be somewhat longer than the groove leg 10, its entire depth a being approximately the same as the depth b of the bung 7.
From Fig. 2 it can be seen how the two components 1a and 1b are joined together butt-jointed. The bung 7 of the element 1b positively engages in the U-shaped groove 6 of the component 1a. The element 1c is struck straight onto the element 1b from above and then turned downwards in the direction of the arrow x. The shorter groove leg 10 facilitates the screwing in of the component 1c.
The longer groove leg 9 is supported on the shoulder 8 of the adjacent bung, so that the butt joints are continuously completed when viewed from below.
The entire width structure 11 forms, for example, a ceiling cladding. The side edges of the components are chamfered for aesthetic reasons. Of course, floors or vertical bandages such as wall coverings and the like could also be laid in a similar manner.
