Abstract

The design of the tool prevents damage to the conductor core by the stops (4/40) contacting the inside of the tool in closed position. The two jaws (2/20) made of plastics are carried by leaf springs (3) (30) and are provided with the cast-in cutter blades (5/50). The stop (4) projects over the cutter blade (5) by 0.01 mm, while the lug (6) is located 1mm behind the cutter blade stripping is carried out by pressing spots (7/70) with fingers, an d the stops (4/40) are then thrust into the soft insulation of the conductor. The tool has preferably the shape of tongs, forming the stripping jaws at one end. The cutter blades may be treated in blind holes of the jaws.
