Abstract

The present disclosure introduces special clothing for the exposure of the user's body to portions of sunrays and/of daylight in cold or cool conditions. Said clothing protects the user's body against cool or cold weather, while it passes some portions of the UV rays and possibly visible light, to help user get a tan and possibly use says or daylight. Said clothing may be partially or fully see-through or non-see-through. It may be made of one or a few layer(s) of transparent, opaque, translucent or light-transmitting, flexible material with or without UV
protection coating or layer(s) of fiber, and/or fabrics. Said clothing may be made of fabrics that pass some limited portions of the UV rays or spectrum, regardless of its behavior to the visible light. Said clothing may be made in any forms of body coverings, including underwear, pants, shirts, jacket, gloves, hosiery, shoes, etc.
and more probably employs light-transmitting flexible material such as clear and/or non-clear vinyl, polyurethane, and/or other plastics, polyester fabrics and meshed fabrics that let through portions of the visible light and the UV.

Description

SPECIFICATION
In an earlier disclosux~, application no. 2,497,125, the clothing of this invcntior. has been introduced as "C~uttloor ~oldlCoal season Sun-Tanning"(OCS'I? clothing. The motivation of such clothing is to provide a mean to e~cposv. the user's body, not only to the skin-tanning elements of the sunrays, but also to expose the user's body to the sunrays as well as the daylight, owing cold or cool seasons.
This type ofclotbdng may attract sig 'n~"xcaut public attentions, in cold countries with long cold/cool seasons. The following are the key guidelines of malatrg such clothing.
1- The use of clear, opaque or translucent plastics such as Vinyl, polyurethane, aVC andlor other light-fitting plastics. F~lext'ble sheets of above material with appropriate thiclmess may be used to make all types of clothing or body covez~iatgs, including shirts, pants, jackets, ete. Similarly, rain coats grade of clear vinyl arxi PVC are available in the trrturket. However, for the sun-taturing clothing of the present disclosure, the raincoat must be modified to increase the heat-protection W
2- To make the clothing brt:atlrable small holes andlor portions of breathable fabrics, in some parts of the clotbtiarg, may be used. The zippers, buttons, and other openings e.g, the collar and wrists, may also help the air-circulation and breath-ability.
3- Skin-layer clothing will increase the comfort and breath-ability. This layer of thin, soft, skin-fciendly fabric passes a consideaable portion of the incident light and will;put a :pacer between the skin and other layers o 1 the clothing. This may be necessary for sensitive skip F:ud for long hours of operation and wilt incxeass the comfort level and breath-ability of the cl4~hun$. ;laid skin. layer may be made by a meshed polyester Fabric, similar to those inn sports wears, and pref =rably is thin and gasses a cartsiderablc portion of the incident liglxt,
4- ,Polyurethane fiber or compounds, as used in Spandex, widely used in znala~sg hosiery gad stretch sports wear clothing, may be used to make t>~e objective OCST clothing of the present disclosure. Specially, such fabrics zzray be used in making the skin layer of the I)CST clothing.
2.

S- As specdixed in above guidelines, OCST clothing rnEay comprise a few layers of fabric, and iigltt-transmittittg material. The member of layers and ratio of light-transmission are arbitrary anti depends on the user's taste and the weather condition. In a cold suuuy day, a user tray put on more layers, increasing the heat insulation quality, however the fight-transmission ratio will daercasc with the number of layers, anti lzenc~~ a longer time is necessary to get the desired skin-tEn.
6- The ~n layer may be stparately wom, or it may be permanently or teuapo~rarily attached to the inner layer of the shirt, coa-~, jacket, pants and other outer-layer clothing.
In addition to fine polyester fabrics, cotton or silk uaay also be used for making the skinn-contacting; layers of OCST
clothing.
7- A coating of any soft fle~,ible skin-friendly material or fiber may be applied to the inner surface of the tnate.rial, being used for OGST clothing. Breathable raincoats, made of plastics such as polypropylene and also nyl~5n and polyester fabrics, are already available ~in the markat. Some of these raincoats employ internal coatings of soft flexible fibs. Similarly, OCST clothing may be produced, by applying, such. coatings to light transmitting materials such as clear or r~-clear vinyl, polyurethane, PVC or any transparent or trat~lucent plastics. The coating may be made of fine soft polyester, cotton, andlor silk. Such coated, partially-light-transmitting material may be used for malting any body covering including shirts, pants, Jaackets, coats, ate.
& LTV protection voatiogs ar layers may be applied for skin-health consideration As extra exposure to UVA (315-400nm) and iJVB (280-315nm) cause son-burn, premature ~ldn-aging, and akin-cancez, appropriate UZr pxooeoti,on coatngs may be applied oa the surface of the material being used for the OCST clothing, to limit the exposure to the W light. This way a user will enjoy gettitxg a.
skin tan avoiding any health risks.
9- One possibility fox nusi~tg sun-tan clothing is to use arty fabric or #lexi!ble materials that will pass portions of the UV rays, regardless of their behavior to the visible light.
Such fabrics may absorb, reflect, or deflect the ~~isibt~, light making the clothing non-ace-through.
'llhis wt:y the user will get a skin tmi by doing tiomlaI c~ytime activities, as he ox she will be exposed to a cortt~vlled atuouut of W rays of direct or indirect sun or daylight. Similar to previous cases, T.~V
pror~don coatings or layers may reduce or regulate the exposure of the user's body to tbs UV light.
14- The QCST alothirvg of the present disclosure and the pervious application no. x,497,125, includes any types of clothing that is speci~~cally designed to let trough, partionv of the W rays of the direct or indirect s~u~ or daylight: These clothing may look like norma~
clothing and may be used during the day whiio doing normal activities. The amount of UV exposure of such clothing will be notified to the user and it ff~ay vary froth one to another. It pl sa depends on the > >umbtr of the layers.
Thare~ore, a consumes wih have an idea of the number of hours that lte or she will need to speztd in different day-light ar sunny conditions to get the desired sun-tan without any health risks.
11- The OCST clothiu~g while having the above attributes with regards to she UJ rays, rosy be transparent, opaslue or tran:.lucen#. They may wise any fabrics of nylon, polyester, plastics or any flexaible covering of pl<~stic,.. The ration of light-transmission may vary frpuz abnut 30 to 90 percent, The ration of UV tran.~mission will daterthe number of hourx tba~t a user can safely ase tho clothing in different s~~n intensities or daylight. Practically it is possible to provi de tables cozttaining the above information to tha user, in terms of TfV transmission ratios, number and types of layers, sad sun/daylight intetasity v~rith respect to the day time and or season.
12- OCST clothing m~~y be designed arbitrarily thick or thin, mufti-layer or single-layer, fit or lose, in, any styles or sizes.
13- OCST clothing may be made similar to sports stretch clothing, with a!specific value of Uy tra~te~ssion ratio that will determine the number of howcs that a user crm safely opexate the clothing. Such clothing ahoy be used for sports, e.g. xunning, biking, hiku~' g, teua~is, etc. An OCST
stretch clothing may be made of a thick ar thin layer or possibly made of multiple layers of fleadble and stretchable m~aterifils, all included ixa a thick Isyer.
