Abstract

A packaging and sales holdes (10), especially for essentially panel-shaped objects (48, 50, 52), with upwardly extending side-walls (12, 14) and a base connected to the latter, which is formed by an insert (20) made from corrugated cardboard with a U-shaped cross section that is fixed inside the holder and which abuts with two lateral upwardly extending flanges against the inside surfaces of two oppositely disposed side-walls and forms the floor of the holder with its base surface connecting the flanges.

Claims (6)

What is claimed is:
1 Packaging and sales holder, especially for essentially panel-shaped objects.
with upwardly extending side-walls (12,14.16,18) and a base connected to the latter which is formed by an insert (20) made from corrugated cardboard with a U-shapedcross-section that is fixed inside the holder (10) and which abuts with upwardlyextending side flanges (26,28) against the inside surfaces of two oppositely disposed side-walls (12,14) and forms the floor of the holder (10) with its basesurface (30) connecting the flanges (26,28), characterized in that the insert (20) has projecting tongues (32,34,36,38) on the two longitudinal ends of the flanges (26,28) which engage in corresponding recesses (40,42,44,46) in the side-walls (12,14,16,18) of the holder (10).
2. The packaging and sales holder of claim 1, characterized in that the holder (10) is essentially rectangular-shaped.
3. The packaging and sales holder of claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the side-walls (12,14,16,18) of the holder are lower than the objects to be accommodated (40,50,52).
4. The packaging and sales holder of one of the preceding claims.
characterized in that the holder (10) is formed together with a cover element (54) as a complete unit which can be detached when the holder is opened along the top edges of the side-walls (12,14,16,18).
5. The packaging and sales holder of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fluting of the corrugated cardboard of the insert (20) lies on the inside surfaces of the flanges (26,28) in an essentially vertical direction.
6. The packaging and sales holder of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tree edges of the tongues (32,34,36,38) are sloped to facilitate insertion of the insert in the holder.
