Abstract

"MéTODOS PARA DETECTAR A PRESENçA DE CéLULAS DE CâNCER DE MAMA E DE CéLULAS DE CâNCER ENDOMETRIAL E A PRESENçA DE CâNCER DE MAMA E DE CâNCER ENDOMETRIAL EM UM PACIENTE E KITS PARA DETECTAR A PRESENçA DE CéLULAS DE NEOPLASIA DE MAMA E A PRESENçA DE CâNCER DE MAMA EM UMA AMOSTRA". Descreve-se uma seq³ência de DNA purificada e isolada e a proteína secretada especificamente mamária codificada, mamaglobina. Também descreve-se métodos para detectar câncer de mama com base na superexpressão e secreção de mamaglobina pelas células do câncer de mama. Os métodos detectam e/ou quantificam a presença de mamaglobina ou do mRNA codificando mamaglobina. Descreve-se também métodos baseados em imunoterapia para o tratamento de um paciente de câncer de mama com um tumor expressando mamaglobina. Os métodos envolvem a utilização de antígenos de mamaglobina para induzir uma resposta imunilógica contra o tumor, sendo que esta resposta é humoral e/ou mediada por células.
