Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA PURIFICAçãO DE áCIDO DE VARFARINA, SAIS DE METAIS ALCALINOS DE VARFARINA E CLATRATOS CORRESPONDENTES". A invenção refere-se a um procedimento aperfeiçoado para a purificação de ácido de varfarina. Sais de varfarina sódio, potássio e lítio e os clatratos correspondentes são preparados em alta, pureza de grau de farmacopéia e bons rendimentos a partir do ácido de varfarina puro e as respectivas bases de sais de metais em meio adequado. O processo para preparar ácido de varfarina puro a partir do ácido de varfarina bruto inicia suspendendo o ácido bruto em um solvente imiscível em água, extraindo o ácido em uma solução aquosa de base diluída, separando a fase aquosa resultante e diluindo-a com um álcool de alquila inferior. A solução aquosa é filtrada antes de ser diluída com o álcool de alquila inferior. A solução é acidificada a um pH de aproximadamente 2 a 5 usando um ácido adequado, tal como ácido clorídrico, sulfúrico ou fosfórico. A suspensão resultante é agitada a uma temperatura de aproximadamente 20<198>C a cerca de 60<198>C, esfriando a suspensão abaixo da temperatura ambiente, filtrando o ácido de varfarina puro e secando.
