Abstract

The support has a bend for being placed at level of a lumbar region of an individual sitting in a bed or an armchair, where the bend has a thickness of 4-6 centimeters. The bend allows pivotment of pelvis around axis of hip to avoid or reduce contact of the individual seated at the level of sacrum. A slit is arranged at the center of the support for avoiding contact of vertebrae at the level of the support. A length adjustable strap is attached to an upper part of the support.

claims The lumbar anti-decubitus cushion is a cushion made of semi-soft foam with a sufficiently light curvature (4-6 cm thick) to be placed at the level of the lumbar region of a 5 individual while sitting in bed or in an armchair. The purpose of the cushion will be, via a physiological lumbar bend supported, to rotate the pelvis back around the axis of the hips and by this movement of the pelvis, to remove or reduce any support of the individual sitting at the level of his sacrum, the sacrum being the site Specific and preferential problems of seat sores.
