Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys PO Box 222, Mitcham, SA 5062 Invention Title: Mirror Indicator Caution Device The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me/us:- REARVIEW MIRROR INDICATOR CAUTION DEVICE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (a) Field of the Invention 5 The present invention relates to an indicator caution device, and more particularly to an indicator caution device that is suitable for fitting to rearview mirrors of vehicles, without affecting the attention of the driver when driving. (b) Description of the Prior Art 10 In prior art technology, in order to improve the situation when a vehicle and oncoming vehicles pass each other creating the possibility of drivers of the oncoming vehicles being inattentive of activation of the direction blinker of the vehicle wanting to turn, thus, two sides of the bottom side of the rearview mirrors are additionally fitted with a set of 15 caution indicator light sources, thereby, when the vehicle wants to turn, apart from activating the direction blinkers of the vehicle, the caution indicator light sources at the bottom side are also activated at the same time, similar to that disclosed in Taiwan patent No. M353121. Advantages of the caution indicator lights lie in: because the 20 dispositional locations thereof are on the rearview mirrors of the vehicle, 2 thus, height difference with the line of vision of the general driver is relatively small, and coincides with the line of vision of the drivers, thereby easily attracting attention when the oncoming vehicles and the vehicle pass each other. 5 However, shortcomings of the caution indicator lights include not only the rear side area of the rearview mirror being provided with light source indicators, light sources are also fitted on the side in the same direction as the mirror surface of the rearview mirror; accordingly, when the light sources are activated, the light sources on both the two sides flash, 10 which on the contrary easily attracts partial attention and line of vision of the vehicle driver, possibly resulting in traffic accidents. In addition, the light source depicted in the drawings of the Taiwan patent No. M353121 show that it primarily comprises a single light source, thereby preventing the caution indicator light from presenting 15 other uses. For the purposes of this specification the word "comprising" means "including but not limited to", and the word "comprises" has a corresponding meaning. Also a reference within this specification to a document is not to be taken as an admission that the disclosure therein 20 constitutes common general knowledge in Australia. 3 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In light of the aforementioned problem, the objective of the present 5 invention is to provide a vehicle rearview mirror indicator caution device that will not affect the driver, and can be used as a caution device and used to convey information. Hence, in order to achieve the aforementioned objective, a rearview mirror indicator caution device according to the present invention is 10 suitable for fitting to a vehicle, and comprises a rearview mirror and an indicator caution device, in which the rearview mirror is provided with a first notch located at the joining area between an arched surface and a bottom surface and facing the ground, and a casing provided with an opening of a mirror unit fitted with a mirror surface so as to face 15 outwards. The indicator caution device is structured from either a light emitting device or an electronic board, and extends from the first notch on the casing. Based on the aforementioned, when the car lamp of the vehicle is activated, the indicator caution device of the present invention emits 20 light and maintains constantly lit, accordingly, use of the indicator 4 caution device enables drivers of oncoming vehicles to pay attention to the traveling movement of the present vehicle. Moreover, because the first notch is located at one side of the arched surface of the casing, thus, when the indicator caution device is constantly lit, the attention of 5 the driver is not affected when driving, and enables realizing a cautionary effect for drivers of vehicles behind. Furthermore, one end of the casing is connect to the vehicle, and, at the opposite other end, the arched surface of the casing is provided with a second notch near to the area of the first notch, which can be used to 10 install a direction indicator unit that is electrically connected to a direction control circuit of the vehicle, thereby enabling the direction indicator unit to be simultaneously activated at the same time when controlling the direction blinkers of the vehicle through use of the direction control circuit of the vehicle to caution drivers of oncoming 15 vehicles of the traveling movement of the present vehicle. To enable a further understanding of said objectives and the technological methods of the invention herein, a brief description of the drawings is provided below followed by a detailed description of the preferred embodiments. 20 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS 5 FIG. 1 is a front side view of a rearview mirror indicator caution device of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a lower side view of the rearview mirror indicator caution device of the present invention. 5 FIG. 3 is a rear side view of the rearview mirror indicator caution device of the present invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Referring together to FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, which show a front side view, a lower side view and a rear side view respectively of a 10 rearview mirror indicator caution device of the present invention, in which the rearview mirror indicator caution device of the present invention is suitably installed to a vehicle 10, wherein the rearview mirror indicator caution device comprises a rearview mirror 20, an indicator caution device 30 and a direction indicator unit 40. 15 A casing 21 of the rearview mirror 20 is provided with a first notch 24 located at the joining area between an arched surface 22 and a bottom surface 23 and facing the ground, as depicted in FIG. 2, and is fitted with a mirror surface 27, the mirror surface 27 being fitted to a mirror unit 26 in an opening 25 of the casing 21 so as to face outwards, as 20 depicted in FIG. 1. 6 The indicator caution device 30 is structured from a light emitting device, and extends from the first notch 24 of the casing 21, in which luminous bodies used by the light emitting device are either light emitting diodes or light bulbs. Furthermore, the indicator caution device 5 30, as depicted in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, is close to a side of the arched surface 22 of the casing 21 and located at the rear half side of the bottom surface 23 of the casing 21, and does not extend to the front half side of the bottom surface 23. In addition, one end of the casing 21 is connected to the vehicle 10, 10 and, at the opposite other end, the arched surface 22 of the casing 21 is provided with a second notch 28 near the area of the first notch 24, which can be used to install the direction indicator unit 40 that is electrically connected to a direction control circuit of the vehicle 10, thereby enabling the direction indicator unit 40 to be simultaneously 15 activated at the same time when controlling the direction blinkers of the vehicle 10 through use of the direction control circuit of the vehicle 10. When the vehicle 10 is in a normal state and the engine has not been started, then the indicator caution device 30 will not emit light. When the vehicle 10 has been started, then the indicator caution device 30 emits 20 light, and maintains a constantly lit state, thereby attracting the attention 7 of drivers of oncoming vehicles, and achieving the effectiveness to caution other drivers. Because of the dispositional relationship of the indicator caution device 30, thus, the driver is not able to see the indicator caution device 5 30 at the lower part of the rearview mirror 20 when driving the vehicle 10, thereby ensuring that the indicator caution device 30 does not attract the attention of the driver and cause distraction when driving. Moreover, because the direction indicator unit 40 is electrically connected to the direction control circuit of the vehicle 10, thus, the 10 direction indicator unit 40 is activated at the same time as when the direction control circuit of the vehicle 10 is controlling activation of the turn signals, thereby achieving the effectiveness to caution drivers of oncoming vehicles to pay attention to the traveling movement of the present vehicle 10. 15 It is of course to be understood that the embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the principles of the invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be effected by persons skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims. 20 8
