Cl enq COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT SAFE ORGANISER FOR RECHARGING PORTABLE APPLIANCES The following statement is a full description of this invention.
This invention relates to a self-contained rechargeable appliances safe organiser tool dedicated to providing a support for a plurality of different or same low-power small battery chargers for portable electronic devices while only using one wall mounted power outlet in order to improve the safety and organisation of multiple electrical leads and associated low voltage transformers and their appliances.
00 SAFE ORGANISER FOR RECIIARGING PORTABLE APPLIANCES 0
O
O Households and workplaces are becoming increasingly cluttered by an assortment of rechargeable portable electronic devices along with their associated battery chargers and electrical cables. The multiple plug packs and electrical cables, when individually plugged into power outlets, may become tangled, damaged, collect dust, look unsightly and become a safety hazard.
Cl 0 0 These problems are overcome by the present invention, which comprises of a primary shelf or 00 O platform designed for supporting a number of battery charging devices dedicated for mobile C"l electronic appliances (whether the batteries are permanent or removable in the appliance) such as mobile phones, digital cameras, cordless power tools and general battery chargers and the like, a storage compartment below the primary shelf or platformnn for stowing excess electrical cable length, and for safe containment of a number of voltage converter plug packs, and provides an overall organisational tool for tidy and efficient organisation of loosely arranged same or different battery charger devices.
The invention could be regarded as a modification of or an extension of the common multioutlet power board (also known as a power strip or power bar) whereby multiple power outlets are provided in one place by using a single primary electrical plug, except its purpose is dedicated to supporting and housing multiple same or different small battery operated recharging units.
A Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances in accordance with this invention allows each dedicated charging unit being connected via cables through slots in the platform 0to their appropriate electrical cable that is plugged into a multi outlet power board intricately
C
o mounted directly under the said platform.
C"l A Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances in accordance with this invention comprises having a direct access top primary shelf or platform containing holes for passing through of cables and a perforated lower shelf for heat dissipation and a front access for storing of excess cable length and plug-pack transformers or voltage regulators.
SOnce a charger is connected via its cables to the power board, any excess cable from the 0 o charger can be stored away inside the unit beneath the primary shelf or platform.
The numerous mobile electronic devices situated in the Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances are all able to receive their power from a single wall mounted power outlet.
The top or front cover is removable so that the cables can be removed or inserted as often as desired.
The purpose of the cover is to conceal the unsightly cables.
The Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances is preferably made from structural grade plastic, however other materials can also be used for aesthetic purposes.
In one form of the invention a wall mounted shelf unit contains a platform designed to support the mobile electronic devices.
In another form of the invention, the platform the power board and the cable storage are
O
0 situated in a enclosed box that can be free standing on floor or desk top.
In another form, the invention can be considered as a power board (otherwise known as a power strip or power bar) with extensions of form to accommodate support of numerous recharging devices and to store excess electrical cables.

C
C
STo assist with the understanding of the invention reference will now be made to the
OO
o accompanying drawings that show one example of the invention.
In the drawings: Figure 1 is an isometric view of the Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances.
The organiser is shown containing a primary shelf 1 for supporting numerous electronic appliances, a secondary shelf 2 for supporting and storing voltage transformers, power distribution and cables, a back wall 3 and side walls 4 for integrating the shelves and providing the structural support, a series of holes or perforations 5 and 6 for passing through of cables and for ventilation, side holes 7 for passing through of cables.
Figure 2 is a front elevation view of the Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances.
Showing a series of keyhole slots 8 for supporting or hanging the invention on a wall, a set of feet 9 for supporting the invention on a flat horizontal surface, and a front opening providing access to the interior storage area 11.
Figure 3 is an end elevation cross-section view of the Safe Organiser for Recharging Portable Appliances showing a side cross section of the invention comprising further of the interior 00 volume 11 for storage, bound by surfaces 1, 2, 3 and 4 and accessed by opening 10, a series of 00
O
O stiffeners and edge flanges 12 for providing reinforcement and an optional front door or cover C",l 13 for concealing the interior space. In the interior space is an example of an integral or addon power board 14 and its main electrical supply cable 15, the appliance mains voltage electrical plug or voltage converter plug pack 16, connected by mains voltage or low voltage cable 17 passing through slots 5 formed in the shelf or platform, the battery charger 18 and Mcr the portable appliance being charged 19, placed on top of the primary shelf 1 for direct access.
0 Excess cable 17 is stored out of the way in the interior space 11 bound by surfaces 1, 2, 3, 4 00 O O and If desired the cover 13 may be removed entirely.
If desired the power board 14 may come separate to the organiser, allowing the user to choose the type of power board to suit their application and the power board being installed inside the interior space 11. The power board 14 is provided with adequate spaces between each outlet socket to allow multiple voltage transformer plug packs 16 to be used adjacent to each other.
