Abstract

1. A single- or multi-core electric cable having an extruded plastics insulation (3) and a metal or plastics sheath (6), in which at least one conductor (5) consists of stranded or spun-on metal wires or spun-on metal strips, and in which the conductor (5) is allotted a layer made of electrically-conductive plastics material, characterised in that between the conductor (5) and the conductive plastics layer, there is arranged an electrically-conductive plastic fleece (4) that is saturated with an agent which swells under the influence of moisture.
