Abstract

Folding clothes drier, comprises a frame with transverse rods, deployed with two upper sections situated horizontally, two sloping sections acting as legs, and horizontal stay rods for retaining the frame in its deployed position. The horizontal stay rods are hinged in the middle so that they fold when the drier is folded and brace it when deployed, with the hinge made in the form of two slotted lugs (55) on the end of one rod section, and a nose (54) with a thrust surface and projecting cylindrical studs (56) on the other. When the hinge is assembled the studs fit into the lug slots, enabling the two halves of the hinge to move horizontally and lock in the braced position.
