Abstract

Proceso de carbonilación para la preparación de un éster de ácido alcanoico que comprende hacer reaccionar: (a) un alqueno; (b) una fuente de Pd; (c) un ligando de fosfino bidentado de la fórmula (1): R¹R²P-R³-R-R⁴-PR⁵R⁶ (1) en donde P representa un átomo de fósforo; R¹, R², R⁵ y R⁶ pueden representar independientemente los mismos grupos o diferentes grupos orgánicos opcionalmente sustituidos que contienen un átomo de carbono terciario a través del cual el grupo se liga al átomo de fósforo; R³ y R⁴ representan independientemente grupos alquileno inferiores opcionalmente sustituidos y R representa un grupo aromático opcionalmente sustituido; (d) una fuente de aniones derivados de un ácido con un pKa < 3; (e) monóxido de carbono; y (f) un alcanol; caracterizado porque el proceso se realiza en la presencia de entre 0.1 y 3% en peso de agua. El proceso tiene ventajosamente un alto índice de conversión y es adecuado para la producción de dimetil adipato, adipato y hexametileno diamina y productos derivados de los mismos tales como nylon 6,6 de fuentes renovables tales como desperdicio de planta, desperdicio de aguas residuales en lugar de utilizar fuentes fósiles.
