Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse beskriver fremgangsmåter for å kvantifisere og minske fallinduserte, asimutale AVO-effekter i seismisk brudd-deteksjon ved å bruke asimutal AVO-analyse ved nøyaktig å ta hensyn til divergenskorreksjon og asimutal avhengighet av refleksjonsvinkel. Løsninger blir tilveiebrakt for tre tilfeller: (1) fallende isotrope reservoarer; (2) anisotrope reservoarer med brudd innrettet i vilkårlig retning; og (3) anisotrope reservoarer hvor vertikale brudd er innrettet perpendikulært med fallretningen.
