Abstract

Et projeksjonsapparat (10) danner et sammenstilt bilde (12) på en fremvisningsflate (14). Det sammenstilte bildet innbefatter minst to hosliggende bildesegmenter. Projeksjonsapparatet (10) innbefatter et belysningssystem (16) for tilveiebringelse av en første belysningsstråle som har en første polariseringstilstand og en andre belysningsstråle som har en andre polariseringstilstand. Disse belysningsstråler er i hovedsak ikke-overlappende. Første og andre spatiale lysmodulatorer (20) danner første og andre modulerte lysstråler av de respektive belysningsstråler. En stråleretter (40) retter disse første og andre modulerte lysstråler i hosliggende, parallelle baner, i samme retning som den optiske aksen til en projeksjonslinse (18). Projeksjonslinsen (18) retter den første og andre modulerte stråle mot fremvisningsflaten (14) for derved å danne henholdsvis det første og andre bildesegment.
