It is an ultimate goal of advancement in the solar ceil technology to increase the output power per unit area of solar cells. In interdigitated back-contact (IBC) solar cells, positive and negative metal electrodes are arranged in an interdigitated pattern on the non-light receiving surface of the cell. Absence of a metal electrode on the light receiving surface of a cell can eliminate the optical loss arisen from light shading by the metal electrode and increase the short circuit current. All the electrodes are distributed in an interdigitated pattern on the back face of the cell, and the large metallization area increases the fill factor of the cell.Solar power generation technology is an important field in the development of new energy.
