Abstract
A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A CARBOXYLIC ACID AND AMMONIA INDEPENDENTLY EFFICIENTLY WHILE HAVING A LESS AMOUNT OF THE GENERATED CARBON DIOXIDE IS PROVIDED. THE PROCESS COMPRISES THE STEPS OF: (A) SEPARATING CARBON MONOXIDE AND HYDROGEN INDEPENDENTLY FROM A SYNTHETIC GAS (A); (B) PRODUCING HYDROGEN BY SUBJECTING A SYNTHETIC GAS (B) TO A SHIFT REACTION; (C) PRODUCING A CARBOXYLIC ACID FROM AN ALCOHOL AND THE CARBON MONOXIDE SEPARATED FROM THE SYNTHETIC GAS (A) IN THE CARBON MONOXIDE/HYDROGEN SEPARATION STEP (A); AND (D) PRODUCING AMMONIA FROM NITROGEN, THE HYDROGEN SEPARATED FROM THE SYNTHETIC GAS (A), AND THE HYDROGEN OBTAINED IN THE SHIFT REACTION STEP (B).
