FOOTWEAR WITH A SOLE AND A BREATH BREATHABLE AND WATERPROOF
DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY
The present invention relates to a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle. Nowadays it is well known that the comfort of a footwear depends not only on its correct anatomical fit, but also on the proper permeation towards the outside of the water vapor that has been formed inside the footwear due to perspiration. However, said permeation of water vapor must not compromise the impermeability of the footwear. Traditionally, breathable footwear is a footwear that uses natural materials such as leather or equivalent products, which, however, in the presence of rain or bad weather, precisely because of its permeability properties, do not ensure a good waterproofness and made absorb water relatively easily. Therefore, footwear manufactured with a leather upper (or similar) coupled to a cover provided with a breathable and waterproof membrane (for example made of a material such as Gore-Tex® or similar) has been used for some years. ), sewn or attached to a template.
In the manufacture of such footwear, it is extremely important to pay attention to the sealing of the areas where the insole and the lining are connected with the membrane and the sole, in order to avoid even the slightest infiltration of water from the outside. The majority of foot perspiration is generated at the interface between the sole of the foot and the sole of the footwear, typically of polymeric material; it is evident that the perspiration that has formed in said interface can not evaporate, and consequently, it condenses on the piece of accessory of the plant where the foot rests. Only a small percentage of the transpiration gets evaporated through the blade. As a result, shoes have been studied with a breathable and waterproof sole for years. One of said soles is disclosed in US Pat. No. 5,044,096 and in EP-0382904, and consists in dividing the sole, made of plastic material, into two layers with through holes and in interposing a waterproof membrane. water and breathable (for example from a material such as Gore-Tex® or similar) and which is hermetically joined by its perimeter to the two layers, to prevent any infiltrations of water. Said sole ensures an appropriate vapor permeation, as well as an effective exchange of heat and water vapor between the interior environment of the footwear and the external environment, while ensuring the necessary impermeability with respect to external moisture and water.
In order to provide a fully waterproof footwear, a waterproof and breathable sole can be attached to a waterproof and breathable paddle such as those described. The step of waterproofing the areas connecting the jig and the lining to the membrane is also important in the manufacture of footwear of this type. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a shoe with a sole and a spade that are breathable and ensure complete impermeability. Within this purpose, an object of the present invention is to provide a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle that is structurally simple to obtain. Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle that can be manufactured by direct injection of polymeric material. Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle that is durable and durable. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle that can be manufactured by conventional systems and technologies. This purpose and these and other objectives that will be made clear more clearly below, are achieved by a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle, comprising a breathable and waterproof sole and a set associated with said sole in an upward area and consisting of: - a breathable outer paddle, an inner lining and, between them, a breathable and waterproof membrane, - a perforated at least partially or breathable insole, joined at least to said blade and said membrane, said breathable sole overmolding at least partially on said assembly, said footwear being characterized in that said blade is provided with passages oriented towards said membrane for the polymeric material during the overmolding of said sole, said passages being provided substantially in the connection zone between said blade and said membrane, said sole being hermetically joined and perimeter to said assembly in said connection zone. Advantageously, the invention comprises a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle incorporating a breathable and waterproof sole and an associated set, in an upward area, with said sole and consisting of: - an outer breathable paddle, a lining inside and, among them, a breathable and impermeable membrane, - a perforated at least partially or breathable insole, joined at least to said membrane, said footwear being characterized in that it comprises a waterproof inner footwear, at least partially perforated or breathable in the area of said sole assigned to the permeation of the vapor, said inner footwear being associated in a downward area with said insole and having a perimeter edge that completely overlaps the connection zone between said insole and said breathable and impermeable membrane to provide a sealed on the perimeter, said shovel adhering to said inner footwear, said breathable and waterproof sole, hermetically, associated with said assembly only at the level of said blade and in the part exposed, as the case may be, of said inner footwear, without affecting the remaining central part corresponding to the area assigned to the vapor permeation. Conveniently, the invention comprises a method for manufacturing a breathable and impermeable sole, consisting of: - molding by injection at least a perforated lower sole layer, - disposing, inside a mold, a breathable membrane element and impermeable on said at least one perforated bottom layer, - arranging at least one breathable element on said breathable and impermeable membrane element, - covering with an adhesive film the surface of said at least one breathable element disposed opposite said element of breathable and impermeable membrane, - overmolding a peripheral skirt in said at least one lower perforated layer and laterally to said at least one breathable element, - removing said adhesive film. The invention further comprises a method for manufacturing a perforated portion of a breathable and impermeable sole, which consists of injecting molten polymeric material into a mold constituted by a female mold part and a mold closing upper part, said part being female of mold provided with pieces of accessory in the form of pins protruding in the direction in which said mold is opened and which are arranged in the area of said sole part assigned to the steam permeation, sealing means being in the form of of plates interposed with interference between the apex surface of said accessory parts in the form of pins and said upper mold closing part. Other features and advantages of the invention will be more clearly apparent from the description of some preferred but not exclusive embodiments thereof, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings., in which: Figure 1 represents a cross-sectional view of a part of a shoe according to the invention, in a first embodiment;
Figure 2 represents a perspective view of the shoe part illustrated in Figure 1; Figure 3 represents a cross-sectional view of a part of a variant of said first embodiment of the footwear, according to the invention; Figure 4 represents a cross-sectional view of a part of the footwear according to the invention, in a second embodiment; Figure 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a first mold for providing the soles to be used in the shoes of Figure 4; and Figure 6 represents a schematic cross-sectional view of a second mold for providing the soles to be used in the footwear according to Figure 4. With reference to Figures 1 and 2, a first embodiment of a breathable and waterproof footwear according to the invention is designated, in general, with the reference numeral 10. The footwear 10 comprises a breathable and waterproof sole
11, described below, and an assembly 12 associated with it in an upward area, and is constituted by an outer breathable blade 13, an inner lining 14 and, between them, a breathable and impermeable membrane 15, for example of a material such as Gore-Tex® or similar.
The assembly 12 is closed in a downward area by a template 16, which, in this embodiment, is perforated, but may be of breathable material. Said jig 16 is coupled to said blade 13, to said lining 14 and to said membrane 15 in a continuous connection zone 17, for example by means of a stitch seam 17a of the "strobel" type, known per se. In this embodiment, the breathable and impermeable sole 11 is hermetically joined at the periphery or on the perimeter to the assembly 12 by overmolding a part thereof, as described below. The sole 11 is composed of a perforated lower layer 18, which constitutes the tread, and by an upper layer 19. Said upper layer 19 is composed of a peripheral skirt or outer perimeter 20 and is constituted centrally by a breathable element 21 Obviously said breathable element 21 is disposed substantially in the part of the jig 16 assigned to the vapor permeation, and in the perforated area of the tread. A breathable and impermeable membrane element 22, for example of Gore-Tex® or the like, is disposed between said lower layer 18 and the upper layer 19.
Said breathable and impermeable membrane layer 22 also comprises a breathable lower protective layer 23, known per se. Said breathable and impermeable membrane element 22 is hermetically coupled, in its peripheral zone 24, to the sole assembly 1 1. The breathable and impermeable membrane element 22 is disposed in a flat pocket 25, formed on the upper surface of the layer lower 18. Particularly, the peripheral zone 24 of said breathable and impermeable membrane element 22 is interposed between the skirt 20 and the lower layer 18. The process for the manufacture of the footwear 10 allows, for example, the manufacture of the lower layer 18. by direct injection into a mold, the subsequent application of the membrane element 22 in the mold, and the placement of the breathable element 21. The assembly 12 is coupled to a form and is inserted into the mold, putting the template 16 in contact with the mold. the breathable element 21. Next, the part of the sole 11 associated with the outer peripheral skirt 20 is overmolded. The blade 13 is provided with passages 26 facing the breathable and impermeable membrane 15 for the polymeric material during overmolding of the associated sole part 11. with the skirt 20.
Said passages 26 are substantially arranged in the connection zone 17 between the blade 13, the lining 14, and the membrane 15. In said connection zone 17, the sole 1 1 is hermetically joined to the assembly 12. Said steps 26 of the blade 13 allow, in fact, that the fluid polymer mass (for example the polyurethane), during the overmolding of the outer peripheral skirt 20, reaches the surface of the membrane 15, adhering and adhering thereto and forming a water-tight seal. In this described embodiment, said steps are foreseen for example by the formation of a "deep corrugation" 27 at the lower edge 28 of the blade 13, so that the stitching of points 17a only a the ridges 28a of said "corrugation" deep "27 to the membrane 15 and to the template 16. In this way, the polymer melt penetrates through said" deep corrugation "27, completely surrounds the stitching of points 17a, penetrates the holes of said stitching of points 17a , and joins with the membrane 15. Emphasis should be placed on the fact that the skirt 20 completely overlaps the stitching of points 17a. A variant of said first embodiment of the footwear, now designated, in general, with the reference numeral 100, is illustrated in Figure 3.
Said variant differs from the embodiment described above only in the area, now designated with the reference number 117, for the connection between the blade 113, the liner 114 and the breathable and waterproof membrane 115 and the perforated template 116. In this case, the lower edges of the coating are folded
114, of the membrane 115 and of the blade 113, said edges generally designated with the reference number 128, and glued with glue below the perforated template 116 and are adjacent to the breathable element 121 of the sole 111. In practice, said lower edges 128 are sandwich-locked between the perforated template 116 and the skirt 120. Likewise, in this variant, the blade 113 is provided with passages 126 oriented towards the breathable and impermeable membrane 115 for the polymeric material during the overmolding of the sole portion 111 associated with the skirt 120. Likewise, said steps 126 are substantially disposed in the connection zone 117 between the blade 113, the liner 114 and the membrane 115. In said connection zone 117, the sole 111 is attached hermetically to the assembly 112. These passages 126 are constituted by through holes 127, provided in the upper part 113a which is folded under the template 116.
Similar to what has been described above, said steps 126 of the blade 113 allow the fluid mass of the polymer (for example the polyurethane), during overmolding of the outer perimeter skirt
120, reach the surface of the membrane 1 15, adhering and adhering to it, and forming a sealing zone water-tight. Figure 4 illustrates a second embodiment of the footwear according to the invention, designated in general with the reference number 200. Said footwear 200 comprises a breathable and impermeable sole 21 1, substantially similar to those described above, and a set 212 , associated with said sole in an upward area, and is constituted by an outer breathable paddle 213, an inner liner 214 and, between them, a breathable and impermeable membrane 215, for example of a material such as Gore-Tex® or Similary. The assembly 212 is closed in a downward area by means of a template 216, perforated in this embodiment, but which may be of a breathable material. Said jig 216 is attached to said liner 214 and to said membrane 215 in a common connection area 217, for example by means of a stitch seam 217a of the strobel type, known per se. The footwear 200 further comprises a waterproof inner footwear 227, associated in an area downwardly with the footbed 216 and which is interposed between said footbed and the sole 211.
In practice, said waterproof inner footwear 227 is constituted by a base insole 229, in which the peripheral edge 230 completely overlaps the connection zone 217 between the insole 216 and the breathable and waterproof membrane 215, to provide a peripheral seal formed by a sealing zone 227a. In particular, said peripheral edge 230 forms lateral walls 230a of the inner shoe 227 that rise beyond the stitching of stitches 217a, fully adhering to the membrane 215 and providing said peripheral seal. The upper 213 adheres to said inner footwear 227 and its inner edge 228 is bent and glued with glue underneath said inner footwear 227. Inner footwear 227 can be provided by direct overmolding in the set (particularly in the membrane 215), in which case the fluid mass of polymer surrounds the stitching of stitches 217a as described in the previous cases, or said inner footwear can be premolded or glued with glue, making sure in any case to seal the seam area of the seam. points 217a. Said inner footwear 227 is provided with suitable holes 231 (or, likewise, can be breathable) in the area of the sole
211 assigned to the permeation; it is evident that the inner footwear 227, in an extreme case, can also be perforated with an individual "macroperforation".
Such a structure makes it possible to provide the sole 211 separately and subsequently apply it, for example with glue, to the assembly 212 with the inner footwear 227. Alternatively, the footwear 200, as described in the previous examples, can be provided by overmolding a part of the sole 211 in the assembly 212. The sole 211, in this embodiment, has substantially the same structure as in the shoe examples described above. The procedure, for example, is as follows: lower layer 218 is provided by injection molding in a mold. The membrane element 222 is then applied to the mold and the breathable element 221 is placed. The assembly 212 engages a mold, which is inserted into the mold, placing the inner footwear 227 in contact with the breathable element 221. Now , the sole part 211 associated with the peripheral outer skirt 220 is overmolded. In any case, the sole 211 is hermetically associated with the assembly 212 only on the upper 213 and on the exposed part of the inner footwear 227 (i.e. part that is not covered by the folding of the blade 213 and that, optionally, has not been represented), without affecting the remaining central part corresponding to the area assigned to the steam permeation. It is evident that in order to produce a sole 211 such as the one described, intended to be applied under a set 212, for example with glue, it is necessary to introduce improvements to prevent the molten polymer, during the injection stages, from covering the parts assigned to vapor permeation. For example, referring to Figures 5 and 6, a procedure for making a breathable and waterproof sole is as follows. A lower and perforated sole layer 318 is molded by injection, corresponding, for example, to the tread of the sole, in a mold 340 formed by a female mold part 341 and a mold closing top 342. For example with the same female part of the mold 341, a breathable and waterproof membrane element 322 is disposed in the mold so that it rests on top of the perforated bottom layer 318. Then a breathable element 321 is disposed on top of said membrane element. breathable and waterproof 322. Said breathable element 321 comprises an adhesive film
321 b on the surface 321a facing the said breathable and impermeable membrane element 322.
Now, the female mold part 341 is closed with a female upper mold part 342a and the molten polymer is overmolded to provide the peripheral skirt 320. Said peripheral skirt 320 laterally surrounds the breathable element 321. The mold 340 is opened and the adhesive film 321 b is removed. Said adhesive film allows to prevent the molten polymer from filtering on respirable element 321, covering it and thus limiting its breathability. Similarly, in order to prevent the molten polymer from filtering over the orifices intended for vapor permeation during injection of the bottom layer 318 of the sole 311, the molding process provides certain improvements. The female mold part 341 is provided with accessory pieces in the form of pins 343, which protrude in the direction in which the mold 340 is opened and are arranged in the area of the sole assigned to the vapor permeation. Sealing means in the form of plates 345 are interposed with interference between the apex surface 344 of the attachment parts in the form of pins 343 and the upper mold closing part 342. Said plate-shaped sealing means 345 are constituted by plates 346 of rigid polymeric material, and are designed to be arranged in each of the accessory pieces in the form of pin 343. In particularsaid plates 346 are slightly wider than the corresponding pin part 343. Said plates 346, which are pressed against the apex surface 344 of the pin-shaped accessory parts 343, prevent, during the injection, the mass of molten polymer from filtering on the vertex surfaces 344, obstructing the orifices destined to the steam permeation formed once the sole 311 is removed. In practice, it has been observed that the invention thus described solves the purpose and the proposed objectives. In particular, the present invention provides a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and pad that ensures complete impermeability, since all possible areas susceptible to water infiltration between a breathable and waterproof sole and an equally breathable "paddle set" and waterproof are, in fact, completely sealed. In addition, the present invention provides a shoe with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle that is structurally simple to obtain. In addition, said footwear with a breathable and waterproof sole and paddle can be manufactured using the technique of direct injection of a polymeric material.
In this regard, the invention has advantageously solved, by virtue of improvements in the injection molding process, the problems associated with filtering the molten polymer material in the areas intended for vapor permeation, thus ensuring high levels of breathability . The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; In addition, all the details can be replaced with other technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials that are used, provided they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the dimensions, can be any according to the needs and the state of the art.
