Abstract
Una modalidad preferida de un stent que provee una seccion puntal doblada que provee rigidez y reduccion estructural al reducir el mecanismo de stent; una seccion flexible provee flexibilidad para suministro del mecanismo de stent; en una segunda modalidad, las columnas de seccion flexible estan en forma angular con respecto a la otra, y al eje longitudinal del stent; estas secciones relativamente flexibles estan puestas en fases para nulificar cualquier torsion a lo largo de su longitud; en otra modalidad, el conector flexible puede tomar una forma ondulada (como en "N"), pero tal que el eje no sea paralelo con el eje longitudinal del stent; finalmente, se describe un nuevo metodo para hacer stents; el metodo consiste en realizar un procedimiento de maquinado fotoquimico estandar de cortar, limpiar y revestir el tubo con una fotoproteccion; sin embargo, a diferencia de metodos anteriores, la imagen de fotoproteccion se desarrolla en la superficie del tubo metalico cilindrico, lo que resulta en una tasa variable de corrosion en los sitios seleccionados en el tubo metalico cilindrico durante el procedimiento de corrosion; las modalidades adicionales proveen conectores de articulacion activa y conectores a lo largo de la longitud del elemento puntal radial.
