Abstract

Se preparan espumas de poliuretano flexibles, de baja densidad, hidrofilicas, haciendo reaccionar poliisocianatos organicos y/u organicos modificados (a) con una mezcla (de polieterol (b) y, si se requiere, compuestos adicionales (c) que tienen atomos de hidrogeno reactivos hacia isocianatos, en presencia de agua y/u otros agentes de soplado (d), catalizadores (e) y, si se requiere, asistentes adicionales y aditivos (f), mediante un proceso en el que la mezcla de polieterol (b) consiste de b1) cuando menos un polieterol difuncional o polifuncional basado en oxido de propileno y/u oxido butileno y oxido de etileno, que tiene un contenido de oxido de etileno de mas de 40% en peso, basado en la cantidad total de oxido de alquileno usado, un numero OH de 20 a 120 mg KOH/g y una proporcion de grupos OH primarios de mas de 20% y b2) cuando menos un polieterol difuncional o polifuncional basada en oxido de propileno y/u oxido de butileno y, si se requiere, oxido de etileno, el contenido de oxido de etileno no siendo mas de 40% en peso, y teniendo un numero OH de mas de mg KOH/g, agua en cantidades de hasta 15% en peso, basado en el peso total de los componentes (b) a (f), y una mezcla de catalizadores de gel y catalizadores de soplado se utilizan y la espumacion se efectua en una escala de indice de 20 a 120. Adicionalmente, las propias espumas de poliuretano flexibles producidas de esta manera se utilizan como material de tapiceria, como material de absorcion de energia y en los sectores cosmeticos y de higiene.
