Abstract
Se describe una banda transportadora (20), particularmente adecuada para la industria de procesamiento de alimentos, que incluye un armazon que soporta la tension, de vástagos que se extienden transversalmente (36-38, 141, 172, 177) unidos a mecanismos articulados (45) interconectados, que soportan la tension, a los cuales se une una serie de elementos de soporte del producto, modulares, de ajuste holgado (23-25, 134, 138). Además, por lo menos uno de los modulos y los vástagos se proveen con elementos separados (84, 136, 143, 170, 174, 179) los cuales definen un área de contacto mínima entre los modulos y los vástagos. Esta área de contacto limitada crea aberturas más grandes entre los moddulos del transportador y los vástagos, de tal manera que cuando la banda transportadora se hace pasar a través de una unidad de lavado (15), las bandejas de lavado pueden alcanzar de manera efectiva todas las superficies. Además, puesto que se permite que los modulos del transportador se desplacen longitudinalmente en relacion a lso vástagos, esto mejora además la eliminacion de zonas de atrapamiento de residuos, de tal manera que se obtiene un arreglo de banda transportadora altamente higiénico. Además, se proveen elementos de tapa (47) del extremo,unicos, para impedir la rotacion relativa entre los mecanismos articulados de accionamiento asociados con la banda transportadora y los vástagos transversales.
