Abstract

Existe la necesidad de polímeros que se utilizan en interiores automotores que ofrecen resistencia incrementada al calor y luz ultravioleta. Es particularmente crítico para polímeros que se utilizan al hacer compuestos de piel para paneles de instrumentos y puerta de automoviles exhibir excelente resistencia al calor y luz ultravioleta. Esta invencion describe un procedimiento para preparar un polímero cauchotoso que puede mezclarse con cloruro de polivinilo para hacer composiciones semejantes a cuero que tienen buena resistencia al calor y luz ultravioleta, el procedimiento comprendiendo las etapas de (1) polimerizar (a) butilacrilato, (b) cuando menos un miembro seleccionado a partir del grupo que consiste en metilmetracrilato, etilmetacrilato, metilacrilato y etilacrilato, (c) acrilonitrilo, (d) un agente de reticulacion, y (e) un jabon de maleato de medio éster bajo condiciones de polimerizacion por emulsion para producir un látex que contiene polímero de semilla; (2) añadir (a) estireno, (b) acrilonitrilo adicional, y (c) agente de reticulacion adicional al látex que contiene polímero de semilla bajo condiciones de polimerizacion por emulsion que resultan en la formacion de una emulsion que contiene el polímero cauchotoso; (3) añadir un aminoalcohol a la emulsion que contiene polímero cauchotoso; y (4) recuperar el polímero cauchotoso a partir de la emulsion que contiene polímero cauchotoso.
