Abstract

Los procesos descritos en la presente son tecnologías amigables con el medio ambiente para producir productos de biocarbono con baja intensidad de agua y baja intensidad de carbono. Algunas variaciones proporcionan un proceso de baja intensidad de agua para producir un producto de biocarbono, que comprende: proporcionar una materia prima de partida que comprende biomasa y agua; secar la materia prima de partida para generar una materia prima seca y un primer vapor; pirolizar la materia prima seca para generar sólidos calientes y un segundo vapor; condensar el primer vapor para generar un primer líquido condensado que tiene un primer pH desde aproximadamente 1 a aproximadamente 7; condensar el segundo vapor para generar un segundo líquido condensado que tiene un segundo pH desde aproximadamente 1 a aproximadamente 7; formar agua ácida que comprende el primer líquido condensado, el segundo líquido condensado o una mezcla de los mismos; lavar y enfriar los sólidos calientes usando el agua ácida, para generar sólidos lavados y enfriados; y recuperar los sólidos lavados y enfriados como un producto de biocarbono con baja intensidad de agua.
