Abstract
La presente invención proporciona películas recubiertas y envases formados a partir de tales películas. En un aspecto, una película recubierta comprende (a) una película que comprende (i) una primera capa que comprende de 70 a 100 por ciento en peso de un polietileno lineal de baja densidad que tiene una densidad inferior a 0.930 g/cm3 y un punto de fusión máximo de menos de 126°C; (ii) una segunda capa que comprende de 60 a 100 por ciento en peso de polietileno que tiene una densidad de 0.905 a 0.970 g/cm3 y un punto de fusión máximo en el intervalo de 100°C a 135°C; y (iii) al menos una capa interna entre la primera capa y la segunda capa que comprende de 40 a 100 por ciento en peso de un polietileno de alta densidad que tiene una densidad de 0.930 a 0.970 g/cm3 y un punto de fusión máximo en el intervalo de 120°C a 135°C; y (b) un recubrimiento sobre una superficie exterior de la segunda capa de la película que comprende poliuretano. En otro aspecto, la película recubierta comprende una monocapa de 70 a 100 por ciento en peso de un polietileno que tiene una densidad menor de 0.930 g/cm3, un índice de fusión (I2) de menos de 2.0 g/10 minutos y un punto de fusión máximo de menos de 126°C, y un recubrimiento en una superficie exterior de la película que comprende poliuretano. En algunas modalidades, la película recubierta es térmicamente resistente bajo las condiciones de sellado de ASTM 1921-98 en un intervalo de temperatura de 80°C a 180°C, y/o tiene un brillo de al menos 70 unidades a 60°.
