Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de alcoholes alcoxilados, en donde un alcohol alcoxilado el cual contiene más de 200 partes por millón en peso de un ión de metal del Grupo IA o Grupo IIA es puesto en contacto con un ácido sulfónico. El alcohol alcoxilado resultante puede entonces ser sulfatado poniéndolo en contacto con un agente de sulfatación.
