Actinobacillus (Hemophilus) pleuropneumoniae type strain 4074, serotype 1, secretes a potent hemolysin. This hemolysin is thermolabile and inactivated by proteinase K. We have purified the hemolysin to homogeneity and characterized it as a protein of 105 kDa by SDS …
