While the better educated or more informed populace in Ghana are increasingly concerned about the long-term adverse effects of pesticides on the environment and the health of the country’s resources, little scientific research has been done to properly characterize, quantify or address the issue. This study was aimed at better understanding how vegetable farmers in the cocoa belts of Ashanti and Western Regions of Ghana use pesticides, and theirknowledge and perceptions of appropriate pesticide use and the associated risks involved
