New Nerf Elite Rayven Stinger: Another Repaint?

This all-new yellow Elite Rayven was spotted on amazon.com:

Odd gun, another repaint? It has a 12-dart normal clip instead of the standard 18-glow-in-the-dark-firefly-clip and 25 yellow (?!) darts. Seems to be an Elite and thus probably has the same technique as the normal Elite Rayven. Why they'd make another repaint, earlier in green, blue and now bee-yellow is not clear to me. I can't imagine anyone asking for a yellow Rayven, or Hasbro just had too much paint left from the old N-Strike guns. Another possible solution might be a completely new sub-line of Elite, hence the new darts, also yellow.

So far it's only being sold on amazon.com by a third-party seller called AR-DISCOUNT at the price of 29.99$.

Nerf Elite Stryfe Mission Kit - "tacticool"!

This new Mission kit has been spotted and also posted online. A pic first:

It includes an Elite Stryfe, the Reteliator's foregrip and barrel extension, 18 dart mag and the Stockade's stock. All these great accessories combined with one of the best Nerf guns make up a great kit. It looks like Nerf has heard their users and made a kit with the greatest gun and tactical stuff! So far, it seems to be a Kohl's exclusive (link to the listing here). I was a little shocked by the price, but I think for all accessories and the gun its an appropriate price.

Leak Updates: Centurion unboxed; New Zombieshot line

So after the Rapidstrike's detailed pictures have been released, the Mega Centurion now follows. Here are some nice images of the gun, box, features and ammo:

So the front is detachable and the bipod too. The clip and the darts are a lot bigger than normal Elite ones, and the last picture shows a box picture which shows the distance of Mega darts with 37% firing 90-105ft and 63% less than 90ft. In terms of size, it approximately compares to a Longshot. What I also noticed on the back of the box, there is a text about the "Nerf Mission App". This was also introduced on the Toy Fair with the Rebelle line. It's probably a system similar to LTAR Laser Tag guns that allows you to put a device on top and shoot virtual drones. Could this be coming to all future Nerf blasters? Will it be restricted to iOS or will it come to Android too? Next, a gun similar to the Rebelle Wildshot has been introduced, along with a completely new line. It's called the Zombiestrike line and the Hammershot is the new gun. It also features the long awaited hammer-system like a revolver. Here are some pictures first:

As you can see it's basically a repaint of the Rebelle Wildshot, with a slightly different shape. This blaster holds 5 darts and is a little smaller than the Strongarm. It would be fun-and will probably happen-if the new Zombie-line featured the "Nerf Mission App" too with shooting virtual zombies. We'll look forward to releases in other countries. The only unsolved mystery left now is the leaked Mega Javelin, but maybe that's soon to come...

Rapidstrike Internal Pictures leaked!

These pics were found on Baidu. They show an internal overview of the new Rapidstrike CS-18.

As you can see it's flywheel powered but has a full-auto pusher arm that pushes the darts into the flywheels. There are a lot of cables around the trigger area leading to the pusher and lock switches. What do you think? Do you see any more mechanisms?

Leak Updates: Revonix360 new description, with stock?

Thanks to Basic Nerf for this information. There's another leaky swiss website called shops.ch, which had released a description of the Vortex Revonix360 earlier, saying it shoots 3 discs at once. Now they've updated that description here. They removed the silly 3-disc shooting statement and now say that it shoots over 20m/65ft and even comes with a stock. Now you might wonder how that stock may look like, well the Nerf Wikia got this picture from somewhere:

It looks pretty interesting, and fits the design of the gun pretty good. However, what I also noticed was that on the german version of the article page, the description states nothing about a stock, only the long range. Both also state a 30 disc capacity of the gun. This looks pretty interesting, and I'm very curious how the loading mechanism works, since the discs are being loaded into the drum horizontally, and can't be fired from that position. What are your thoughts about this gun? Let me know!

Updates - Snipercreep is now DarkLime! 1000 hits!

So I thought I'd make some updates for you to avoid confusion. First off, as you might've noticed, I changed my name to DarkLime. I mainly did this for the incredible number of 1000 Pageviews! This blog is up just a month and It's already got over 1000 hits by you! Thanks to everyone for this great event.  Stay tuned, once I hit the next milestone there might be a giveaway... Anyway, when I saw that 4-digit number pop up, I decided to finally choose a unique name. Snipercreep was my beginners name, and after some thinking I chose DarkLime. So don't think that someone else has taken over this blog, It's still me. Also, some things have been updated, added and changed, for example the reviews and mods pages and the other blog's list on the right. Over the next few months, I'll probably focus more on mod guides once I'm through with all Elite reviews. I also have a secret modding project going on which might be done next month. Keep up to date!

N-Strike Elite Mega Series: 100ft Blaster?

MyLastDart posted this on his blog, and there was a whole mess after it. He misunderstood the rules of his NDA and accidentally posted it. When things got cleared up, he deleted the post, but the Internet is now crazy about it and you see posts about it everywhere. Anyway, let's go on to the blaster itself. It looks like a new series red sniper-style weapon featuring a bipod, a cocking mechanism like the Longstrike/-shot and an unusual clip. On the left of the box, it shows a dart and says "actual size". So since the blaster looks big, it must be a big box, and if it shows the actual size, I assume the dart must be pretty big. Could this be the long-awaited Elite version of the Longstrike? It also says "up to 100ft", so this gun must be pretty amazing. Any more information will be posted up directly, and I'm very excited about this, too.

Toy Fair 2013: New Nerf blasters: Rebelle, Blazin' Bow and updated Vortex line

Recently, Nerf has introduced some new blasters on the Toy Fair. There will be a new series and a revamped Vortex lineup. Finally, there are Nerf guns for girls, a series called Rebelle. The weapons are colored white and pink and most of them have a bow/crossbow design. So far, 3 blasters have been spotted. According to some photos, you can even insert an iOS device into one of the crossbow-like guns. The Wildshot is an awesome hammer-revolver with a 6 dart barrel. I've wanted something like this for long. Additionally collectible darts in different styles ahve been shown. Next, there seems to be a Big Bad Bow remake carrying the name N-Strike Mega Blazin' Bow, which shoots big arrows pretty far. It is orange with black and has a holster for 2 extra arrows on top. Now to the part which I think is awesome, the new Vortex arsenal. All guns have been repainted white. But each disc-blaster now has a unique color scheme (Praxis: orange; Pyragon: green; Proton: blue; Vigilon: dark red; Diatron: black) on it and matching white discs with a colored middle. There are red discs, too, which were available only with the Pyragon/Diatron before, in a package for separate purchase. I'm very excited about the new Vortex Nerf gun, called the Revonix360. It features an integrated drum (much like a Maverick), a handle like the Pyragon and slamfire. The box advertises for longest Vortex range up to 70ft. I think Nerf did a very good job on these introduced blasters. The Rebelle line is besides the color also very well designed and the unique Vortex discs are a really good idea. I'm looking forward to the store release of these. Stay tuned, it seems like Nerf hasn't yet introduced all 3 promised 75ft weapons and there's more to come.

First Review: Nerf Elite Firestrike & Internals

The Nerf N-Strike Elite  Firestrike is the Elite successor to the popular N-Strike Nitefinder. It has gotten smaller compared to its predecessor, now using AAA size batteries. But Nerf also minimized other areas, thus having a smaller handle and trigger which is uncomfortable. The integrated laser pointer is now activated by a second trigger below the actual one. This is much better than the earlier version's activation, but it requires some force to press and might accidently be released while shooting.

Some things stayed the same, including the 2 dart holders in front, a tactical rail on top and the same cocking handle. In terms of power the Firestrike has a lot more to show by using a direct plunger system and a strong spring. My range tests had results up to 54ft/16m flat with standard elite darts. One more disadvantage of the Firestrike is the tactical rail, which is, compared to other blasters, very wobbly. So if you do fast movements in a fight, your attachment might flip off easily.

In the end, I think this blaster is very good for beginners and because of its small size it can be carried in most pockets. Unfortunately, the handle is small but the ranges are convincing for the Elite Firestrike. Be up to date, I might have a mod guide up for this soon! Also leave a comment on what you think of the Firestrike or a question.
