e... more This descriptive study was mainly focused on evaluating the effect of the literacy and numeracy
enhancement program on the learning achievements of deprived individuals in two selected locales of Tacurong City. Key participants included 6 ALS learners composed of 3 Muslims and 3
non-Muslims who were residents of the Islamic Center, Barangay Poblacion. Moreover, 10 outof-school youth (OSY) of Barangay New Isabela took part in the activity. Initially, the implementers prepared their teaching aids and the assessment tool intended for the participants’ pretest and posttest. The study was carried out in 6 months through a weekly face-to-face casual
session. Results of the pretest and posttest were statistically treated using simple mean and ttest. Data analyses showed that both ALS and OSY groups have gained scores in the posttest
that are relatively higher than that in the pretest. Outcomes in both literacy and numeracy program are apparently encouraging and comparable. The result implied that the program also
improved the implementers professionally and socially as a result of their engagements with
some actors in the community. Given the limitations of the study, it is highly suggested that the
program would be sustained targeting a larger number of participants.

Through in-depth investigation, the author found out that these Indigenous Peoples(IPs) lived mostly at Central Mindanao descendants of Mamanwa's (Dillo,2021), as the first Filipino landed in the Philippines, vibrates their indigenous heritages-bamboos weaving crafts found out there is strong connectivity between the concepts of classical mechanics and their cultures and traditions without formal training in science education.

This descriptive action research determines the effectiveness of three(3) online teaching platfor... more This descriptive action research determines the effectiveness of three(3) online teaching platforms namely; (i) the newly installed and official online platform called the SKSU Electronic Learning Delivery System(ELEADS) (ii)Facebook Group and (iii) Google meet as major accessories in flexible learning using mean, Standard Deviation(SD), t-test and Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) as statistical analysis. Google meet online learning modality ranked first with its weighted mean of 3.68 in terms of the perception relative to content, instructional and technical categories by the one hundred thirty eight (138) respondents, a Bachelor of Elementary Educations(BEED) students enrolled at College of Teacher Education(CTE) at Sultan Kudarat State University(SKSU), academic year 2020-2021. There were five sections among respondents namely BEED 2A,BEED 2B,BEED 2C, BEED 2D and BEED 2E in their subject code name as EDDMATH 2 which have a subject description of teaching intermediate mathematics. Positive skewedness from the normal curve of frequency distributions among the achievement scores of eighty six percent (86%) of respondents, illustrated in the figures below, signifies that flexible learning is very effective without face-to-face actual class discussion. It's only shows that flexible learning without face-to-face instructions, incurs higher learning achievements among the respondents. Effectiveness of flexible learning in terms of the three(3) online learning modalities is very much acceptable and enjoyable in terms of the teaching and learning process between the researcher and the respondents. The location of flexible learning is not really obstacle if the modality pushes serves as the most convenient, accessible and less expensive in terms of online learning. Respondents, mostly coming from the remote areas, preferred a Facebook group as shown in the analysis of variance (Anova),therefore during this time of covid 19 pandemic, flexible learning facilities most of the knowledge learned by the respondents.

The main purpose of this study is to develop a Gamification Technique (GT) in teaching basic math... more The main purpose of this study is to develop a Gamification Technique (GT) in teaching basic mathematics ,particularly, in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations using snake-and-ladder-alike game board. In this Gamification Technique(GT) the author intends to achieve the objectives through three(3) phases, namely (i) Localized snake-and-ladder-a like game board ; (ii) Mobile apps snakeand-ladder-alike development; and (iii) effectiveness of the Gamification Technique using snake-and-ladder board. In phase 1 the author used the participation of his eighty (80) pre-service teachers and graduating BEED students who evaluated the said Gamification Technique(GT) and manifested excellent perceptions in terms of technical, content and instruction qualities. They received very satisfactory (VS) ratings in their practicum-classroom demonstration. The mobile or digital development of localized snake-and-ladder-alike game board which the author wants to convert into mobile apps is in the phase 2 scheme, and, lastly, there is no significant difference between a Gamification Technique(GT) in the teaching and learning achievement of the respondents in four(4) basic operations as compared in which the non-gamifcation technique but there is a positive skewedness in addition and subtraction levels. This is becoming a part of the current mathematics education that adopts the localization and digitization using the Gamification Technique(GT) in diversified Philippines education settings.
