Synopsis

Gugure! Kokkuri-san is an eccentric comedy centered around the self-proclaimed doll, Kohina Ichimatsu. Her uneventful life goes from plain to absurd when she summons a fox spirit by the name of Kokkuri-san. But contrary to popular belief, he is not the omniscient, answer-granting spirit from the legend anymore. The loss of believers in modern society has rendered him powerless.

Upon meeting the bizarre girl who summoned him, Kokkuri-san is shocked to discover that Kohina not only lives alone, but survives on just cup ramen! Filled with concern for the young girl, he takes it upon himself to ensure that Kohina has proper meals and lives a decent life. Thus begin Kokkuri-san's less-than-hopeful endeavors and their peculiar life together.

After finishing "Gugure! Kokkuri-san" I had to think to myself: What makes an anime good? Is it the person's expectations going in? Because I came for the comedy and at no point throughout the entirety of the show was I ever disappointed. In fact, comedy is the only thing that this show even makes an attempt at, and boy does it do it well (although there is a recurring message in the show if you can pick it out). I'll try my best to tell you my thoughts on the show, and if you hate the very core of my being ...

Mixed Feelings
The story started really well I'd say the very first episodes gave me promises what is it gonna be about. It's seems that our characters intentions comes from their past were the two main character deeply related. It promises to find out why is Kohina pretends to be a doll, and why Kokkuri-san wants to help her(only have a suggestion, that Kohina is reincarnation or descendant of someone who Kokkuri-san knew once). However the as the episodes goes on we won't go any further on their relation significantly. Instead of it, we'll know other 5-6 characters whose past are barely told in 1-1episode, there isn't ...

Ah, Gugure! Kokkuri-san, a masterpiece of storytelling, a true work of art. A girl named Kohina summons a fox spirit named Kokkuri to be her servant, and what follows is a rollercoaster of emotions and excitement. Actually, no, it's just a bunch of silly antics and absurd situations. But who cares about a coherent plot anyway, right?

About the Style is the epitome of sophistication and elegance. Just kidding, it's actually pretty average. But what it lacks in visual flair, it makes up for in sheer ridiculousness. From Kokkuri's creepy obsession with Kohina to the absurd antics of the other spirits, this show is a wild ...
