This is a set of 2 matted French fashion prints that date to the early 1920's. They originally appeared in a French haute couture fashion magazine, La Femme Chic. They are NOT recent reproduction prints. They each feature elaborate, detailed fashion for daywear. Note the layering, patterning and intricacies of the designs. Wonderful, vivid color. They are in excellent clean condition with no indication of aging or discolorations. Measure 9 x 12.5 in size. Each comes matted in a neutral tone…

Welcome to a long, involved story about how a hat went through many design permutations before it finally became a lovely thing that I enjoy wearing!
