Spent all day with the squirrels again! They were so funny with their antics chasing each other. I had wanted to do cresties aswell but I could not drag myself away from them. Tried for different angles this time much harder to keep focus when panning but I'm very happy with this image.

This squirrel has been captured mid flight with a hazelnut in its mouth.

Hope people aren't sick of red squirrel shots yet I managed to accumulate quite a few yesterday! To start with was trying to get them running and jumping, then getting them sat in the rain, then trying to get them jumping in the rain. Luckily for me they obliged! Was at the limit of the shutter speed here hence the log is blurred with panning for the running squirrel. Just back from a walk at Fairburn which seems to have turned into Watership Down! 7 photos here, from a morning spent with red squirrels recently. It's remarkably difficult to catch a squirrel on the run. It required bird-in-flight shutter speeds. I like this shot technically, but it's not especially exciting or dynamic.
