Both members of the Miwok Tribe, Janessa and James wanted to pay homage to their Native American culture throughout their wedding day. They said "I do" between two cedar trees in a ceremony that included a mugwort water cleansing, and incorporated leather elements and abalone and dentalium shells into the decor.

This May, two young members of the Nlaka'pamux First Nation are hosting a rare gathering. Alex Harry and Kayleen Hanna, both 25, are inviting more than 150 family members and friends to the edge of a cliff at Nicomen Falls, B.C., to witness a traditional wedding.
