Old grandpa

Fashion is something that changes with time, but certain fashions are timeless. Take this elderly gentleman, Günther Krabbenhöft, who was recently photographed in Berlin near the Kotbusser Tor station. While some other sources incorrectly reported this man’s age as 104, the grandpa himself says on his FB profile that the Internet has "doubled" his age. Various other sources say he's between 68-70 years old; the fact is, modern day hipsters could take a few lessons from this guy.

Age is just a number, they say. Yet the vast majority of humanity is hooked on anti-aging skincare, anti-aging lifestyles, anti-aging everything. In fact, a survey has previously shown that a whopping 87% have a fear of getting old, also known as FOGO. Feeling anxious about wearing out before the warranty is something not entirely new to most people, but for many, the reservations revolve more around the outside rather than the inside.

I think both of my grandmas are the cutest women on the planet. They always make sure I’m well fed, support me in whatever crazy endeavors I choose to pursue, and they are both hilarious. As both of those amazing women have shown me, we can learn a lot from our elders, like how to make the world’s best lemon bars, how to be a great parent, how to play dominoes and apparently: how to be wholesome.

We usually go on Instagram to see what our friends and colleagues are up to, what expensive things celebrities are going to show off, or simply to scroll through an endless stream of photos in the #cats tag. One of the more wholesome phenomena on IG at the moment is the page of an 86-year-old grandpa from Lancashire, UK.
