SRCU requests from zhwiki

I would like to ask what can be done to encourage more stewards to look at SRCU requests from zhwiki. Language aside, right now I think many of these zhwiki requests are disorganised, sometimes incomprehensible, in which I assume would make it a incredibly tedious task to navigate through. If any stewards have suggestions on how to improve the current way in which zhwiki submits their SRCU requests, I would love to hear them if possible and refer them to their local community. Quite a few of the stewards that usually monitor SRCU are semi-active at the moment, and I think there is some burn-out from addressing zhwiki requests. I don't think that the community could do anything differently. I'll look at some of the active requests myself tomorrow, and will send an email to the stewards' mailing list letting everyone know that there are backlogs here. – Ajraddatz (talk) 07:56, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, maybe I was burned out. One thing to note is that the vast majority of request (outside zhwiki) here is not "look at sleeper of this LTA" (let's say this as "LTA sleeper" check.) kind of request, and zhwiki - I think at least 1/4 or possibly half(, or even more) of them are "LTA sleeper" request. Maybe zhwiki need rely more on behavioral checks? Anyway, I plan to take a vacation from SRCU till end of this month. — regards, Revi 12:34, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
@-revi, Alex Shih, and Ajraddatz:actually the this is a LTA, let's check sleepers from my short tenure looking at these cases are local sysops had already duck blocked the accounts, but just wanted the CU to do 2 things - sleepers check (I am seeing sleeper checks from sysops almost every month for LTA such as Jesschi, D17, C7, 123A) as well as the local sysops blocked the accounts (but wanted CU to affirm their blocks). This is often the accounts vwill do an unblock request and then they cannot stand by their original block. The users who translate CU requests often do turn down requests (SPA+duck and etc), this month alone I declined to translate quite a fair bit, but we are not sysops and cannot see deleted contributions. This also cause us to be under qutie a fair bit of flak everywhere (users on zhwiki disgrunted why their requests are turned down as well as we are chasing for CU to be completed). This entire system is clearly unsustainable. If I could suggest is that can we appoint somewhat similiar to enwiki SPI clerks which will endorse / decline a CU or stewards declining / accepting a CU (i.e. we will just translate all requests and put it at SRCU, stewards decline / accept. This is due to the culture at zhwiki before CU was taken away was that CU decide whether to go ahead / not and there is no endorsing / etc. This may not be the culture which other wikipedias adopt (especally enwiki). So TLDR, the system, unless we do a massive revamp, is as such and the backlog will only increases and we need to live with it. I appreciate more conversations about this. My cheap 2 cents, can ignore if not useful (though, hopefully not) --Cohaf (talk) 13:49, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
