Please add class audiolink to yi:Mediawiki:Common.css as there is no interface admin. Thank you --Redaktor (talk) 12:48, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

Redaktor, what do you mean? What styles should we add for this class? --Base (talk) 12:51, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

This adds a link to the global user info for users from their user pages (the first few lines are to ensure that the existing default message content is still shown). Global abuse filter logs link to the user's page, and for loginwiki this is usually because of user names. This makes it easier to access the users global account information, eg to check contribs or to see if the account is already locked. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 03:40, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

It is better to change where the abuse filter logs link to. Ruslik (talk) 08:18, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Its also where local account creation logs link to --DannyS712 (talk) 16:19, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
I do not see where it links to user pages? Ruslik (talk) 20:42, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
At Special:AbuseLog, for hits to global filters on other wikis, the user link goes to the user's user page --DannyS712 (talk) 20:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
In loginwiki links go to user contributions. Ruslik (talk) 20:32, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
Yes, locally links go to user contributions, but links to foreign wikis, eg when looking at Special:AbuseLog here on meta links go to user pages --DannyS712 (talk) 22:53, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
What does it have to do with loginwiki? Ruslik (talk) 12:43, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
When a filter is tripped on loginwiki, it makes it easier to get to the global account information --DannyS712 (talk) 13:54, 5 September 2020 (UTC)

Immediate deletion categories filled for months

Status:    Locally handled

The following 'immediate deletion candidates' categories have already been open for months. Could someone please go through them and delete (or otherwise handle if more appropriate) those? - Andre Engels (talk) 10:24, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Both projects have administrators. Please, ask them. Ruslik (talk) 20:22, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
I sent a massmessage to all uzwiki admins, asking them to review, two of them said they'll have a look soon. Martin Urbanec (talk) 16:46, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Change project logo for https://zh.wikisource.org/ needs to modify s:zh:MediaWiki:Common.css

Status:    Done

To which logo should it be changed? Ruslik (talk) 21:01, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Please remove all references to "/static/images/project-logos/zhwikisource-hans.png","/static/images/project-logos/zhwikisource-hans-1.5x.png","/static/images/project-logos/zhwikisource-hans-2x.png" from MediaWiki:Common.css. These files have been deleted (phab:T261076). New logo is https://zh.wikisource.org/static/images/project-logos/zhwikisource.png --Midleading (talk) 11:05, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
@Midleading: Can you confirm that this edit is what you were looking for? If it is, then I'll mark this as resolved. PiRSquared17 (talk) 11:13, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, it works for me, but other people might want to test it. --Midleading (talk) 11:22, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Ehm...why is there a reference to /static files at all? --Martin Urbanec (talk) 18:26, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
Can anyone modify the css file for mobile version? When using desktop Chrome to access https://zh.m.wikisource.org/ , the logo looks too close to the search box. Though it looks fine in a mobile phone.--維基小霸王 (talk) 08:01, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
@維基小霸王: Tell me, does this help or not? PiRSquared17 (talk) 08:09, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
@PiRSquared17:It seems Mobile.css is not loaded. When I applied "padding-right: 10px" to ".branding-box" using my Chrome DevTools, it does look better.--維基小霸王 (talk) 08:43, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
Probably a cache issue. It works on my end. I think it would be better with 15px or 20px maybe, though. PiRSquared17 (talk) 10:11, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Midleading, 維基小霸王, can this request be considered done now? --Base (talk) 17:56, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia Yoruba admin inactivity

Status:    Not done

Admins on Wikipedia Yoruba are not active. The admin inactivity on deletion process has made it affect some pages. These could cause a lost of interest in it by Yoruba readers. They should also respond easily to question and needs of users. They need to respond to many things despite we are small in numbers. Little admin we have must be active. --Tbiw (talk) 13:14, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

What is this request about? What do you want the stewards to do? If the requested action is to review admin activity, please see AAR. Best, --Martin Urbanec (talk) 13:20, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
??? 2 active local admins and one GS at the last 30days. The Most projects don't have administrators. Finding active administrators is the job of the community and not the stewards.-𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 👤💬 13:25, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks the quick intervention on the matter. My proposal was to help in providing an active admin but wikibayer made me understand that it is a community project. Experience is needed in adminship. But those with enough experience are not active. We need a solution to it. I don't just want Wikipedia Yoruba to fail on the criteria of poor admin intervention to serious issues.Tbiw (talk) 14:56, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
@Tbiw: The stewards jointly with global sysops perform the sysop duties - you can report any vandalism to GSR. Complex cases that require advanced privileges can be reported here, at SRM. We do not have a reserve of admins or anything. You can also run for adminship, especially if you're a Yoruba speaker - I see you have some contribs here. If you want to try that, post a request somewhere on your wiki (dedicated page for requests for permissions if there's any, administrators' noticeboard or village pump if there is none), and after a week, create a SRP request. Best, --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:07, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
Okay thanks.Tbiw (talk) 15:30, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
Please sorry to ask a question after the page was marked. Why was the page marked as not done? Tbiw (talk) 18:08, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
I have marked it as not done, because I read you thanking above as an acknowledgement of the explanations above that there is nothing stewards can do here but review activity of admins as part of annual admin activity review. --Base (talk) 21:45, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Closing a Global ban RfC

Status:    Done

I'm not sure that I'm in the right place here, but as I haven't found something like a general "Stewards' noticeboard": Per global ban policy, "Discussion should be open for at least two weeks, but no more than one month. Stewards may extend the discussion in exceptional circumstances." Requests for comment/Global ban for Eric abiog has been open for much more than a month now (since 5 August) and I have not seen a steward deciding to extend that discussion, so I think a steward should now close it. Or are the circumstances "exceptional" because the opposition to a global ban for this user has become quite strong? Anyway, it's not fair to leave them in this uncertain state with a Damocles sword of a global ban hanging over their head indefinitely... --Gestumblindi (talk) 18:51, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Sanitized CSS on nds.wikitionary

Status:    Done

I've created a new main page for nds.wiktionary.org, which is a bit more mobile friendly than the current main page. This page needs "sanitized CSS" (like on: the test page on Wikipedia), if I remember correctly it's something that needs to be done by an admins/stewards. Since the current admin is quite inactive I thought I'd request for it here. --Servien (talk) 20:57, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Please, specify which changes need to be made exactly. Ruslik (talk) 18:50, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
@Ruslik0: ContentModel change is needed w:nds:Spezial:ChangeContentModel. (It can only be made by stewards or local sysops)--𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 👤💬 20:11, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
Done next time don't move one of your user subpages there. The content model of any page you create in the Template namespace with a title ending in ".css" is set by default to sanitized CSS--Sakretsu (炸裂) 21:11, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Unblocking in Banyumasan Wikipedia

Status:    Done

Please unblock my Banyumasan Wikipedia (https://map-bms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naraguna:91i79) account. I am an active member of the Russian Wikipedia, I have edited some sections in other languages, but I have never written in the Banyumasan Wikipedia. I was blocked in 2016 with the motivation “Jeneng panganggo ora layak” (roughly “wrong name” in English). Banyumasan Wikipedia has no active admins, no local rules about account names. This lock prevents me from participating in the Wikipedia Library project. 91.79 (talk) 22:31, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Possibly out-of-scope article at ko.Wikinews

Status:    Done

The article created by Joomkiwi (n:ko:사용자:Joomkiwi/팩트체크 저널리즘, 가짜뉴스를 잡는다) was moved from main namespace to a user namespace by User:Motoko C. K. for either quality issues or (via Google Translate) being out of the project’s scope. Should it be deleted, or then transferred to ko.wiki as a user draft, or what else? George Ho (talk) 00:22, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

User:Motoko C. K. / User:Mineralsab, do you have any input? --Base (talk) 17:54, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
I usually don't comment on kowikinews after the kowikinews mess this spring, but my opinion is that there is no harm in things @ user-space as long as 1. mainspace redirection is deleted, and 2. __NOINDEX__ can be placed. It's too late for a "news" anyway, but there is no harm in storing incomplete things in user-space. (And I recuse from doing any real action on kowikinews). Since Sotiale deleted the mainspace redirection, I think noindex is enough to leave it alone. — regards, Revi 16:41, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Lacking better input I trust Revi's opinion as a former admin there and I agree with it as a dormant Wikinewsie myself. I am marking this as done, since the request was a question and not a call for action. --Base (talk) 06:00, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
