The grounded/ floating resistor and inductor in these biquads are realized using active OTA-C simulation. The current through these OTA-C simulated resistor and inductor elements is used to implement useful transadmittance-mode transfer unctions.The current through OTA simulated resistor/ inductor is made available using a dual output OTA (DO-OTA). The proposed biquads are attractive due to their advantageous features like ease of design, good sensitivity and orthogonal tunability of pole-Q. The biquads have been simulated using practical CMOS OTA circuit as well as their behavioral macro-model and the results are given to verify the theoretical analysis

First capacitance multiplier circuit is based on OTA based impedance multiplier reported earlier. Other capacitance multiplier is an improved version of the current-mode capacitance multiplier reported earlier, where in the DO-OTA is used instead of current mirror which senses the input current and scales it by a factor (k+1) such that a scaled version of input current flows through the capacitor (Ic = Iin/(k+l)). The first capacitance multiplier uses grounded capacitor and the second one uses a floating capacitor. The capacitor multiplier circuits are verified using TINA SPICE simulator.

The transfer function of the Bessel filter is verified for correctness using MATLAB software. The circuit realization of Bessel filter using voltage controlled current source (VCCS) behavioral model of $G_{m}$-block is validated using Cadence software. The flexibility to adjust the cut-off frequency for different values of $\alpha$ has been verified. The group delay and step response plots for different values of $\alpha$ are presented.

The applicability of Bayard’s passive compensation schemes using capacitors for CFOA based non-inverting voltage amplifier is discussed. The use of feedback capacitor alone for realizing Butterworth response is shown to be not feasible. On other hand, the use of both feedforward and feedback capacitor for pole-zero cancellation is shown to improve the bandwidth and the condition for the same has been derived. The use of feedforward capacitor alone is shown to be useful for achieving minimum phase error in the resulting frequency response. The proposed compensation techniques are attractive as they need one or two capacitors. Since the CFOA is used in open-loop mode, the effect of series resistance of the CCII at x terminal, input impedance of the CCII at y terminal, the output impedance of the CCII at z terminal and the output impedance of the Gm-block are analyzed. The effect of these non-idealities on applications of the capacitance multiplier to realize second-order low-pass, band-pass and notch filters using external resistance and inductance is studied in detail, SPICE simulation results are also provided. The proposed impedance multiplier is explored to realize a generalized immittance converter (GIC) using current conveyor, Gm-block and two impedance elements. The immittance converter circuit is shown to realize various simulated grounded elements like positive/ negative inductor, resistance/ capacitance multiplier, frequency dependent negative resistor (FDNR) and super inductor etc.

PSPICE simulation results are also given for the proposed circuits.

The oscillators are designed for a center frequency of 2.4 GHz. The phase noise at 1 MHz offset frequency for NMOS cross-coupled oscillator and CMOS cross-coupled oscillator are found to be - 112.95 dBc/Hz and −134.15 dBc/Hz respectively. The tuning range for NMOS cross-coupled and CMOS cross-coupled oscillators are 1.04 GHz and 1 GHz respectively. The oscillators are simulated with 180 nm GPDK technology using Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre tool.

The Schmitt trigger circuit does not use passive elements which is suitable for an integrated circuit realization. The threshold voltages and the output saturation levels can easily be adjusted. Simulation results obtained using LTSpice are used to verify the functionality of the proposed circuit.

converters for two new three-moduli sets {2k, 2k-1, 2k (2k-1)+1} and {2k, 2k-1, 2k(2k-1)-1} using Mixed Radix Conversion (MRC) technique are proposed. The architectures of the reverse converters are designed so as to facilitate implicit sign detection. The proposed designs are compared regarding hardware resources and computation time with three moduli reverse
converters, sign detectors and reverse converters with sign detectors for the dynamic ranges of about 4k bits described in literature. The ASIC implementation results for the proposed designs are also provided using 180nm technology.
