TALLPOWER JH01 15.6 Inch Portable Monitor

Monitor Introduction

Power/Return key:

• Short press to return during setting up; long press for 3 seconds to turn On/Off the Monitor

Roll key/Menu:

• Short press the “Roll key” to open the setup menu, scroll the “Roll key” up or down to choose the function, short press the “Roll key” again to confirm, and short press the “Power / Return key” to go back;
• Scroll up the “Roll key” on the main interface to open the brightness quick adjustment bar, and scroll up and down to adjust the brightness;
• Scroll down the “Roll Key” on the main interface to open the volume quick adjustment bar, and scroll up and down to adjust the volume.

Signal/Power indicator:

• Blue indicates running, red indicates hibernation, and no display indicates shutdown.

3.5mm headphone interface:

• Connect external speakers, headphones or digital audio equipment.

Type C:

• Full function Type-c interface: designed for display power supply, audio, and video signal transmission

Mini HDMI:

• Responsible for audio and video signal transmission of the display.

Connect Monitor with Devices

1. LAPTOP(With Type-C)
   • Note: When the brightness and volume are adjusted to above 80%, it is recommended that the external power supply of 5V/3A or above be connected.
   • Note: Not all laptops with a Type-C port can work with the monitor. Please check the Type C port of your laptop if it supports audio and video signal transmission.
2. PHONE (With Type-C)
   • Optional Apple iPhone (With an adapter)
     • Please get an adapter(Lightning to HDMI) if you need.
     • When there is no external power supply, the cell phone battery supplies power to the monitor. (Energy-saving mode is activated; Brightness is automatically adjusted to 30%.) Users can adjust the brightness and volume of the monitor according to the output power of the mobile phone.
     • When the external power supply is connected, the monitor charges the mobile phone through the external power supply. (To ensure that the monitor and the mobile phone can get enough working current, please use at least a 15W charger or power bank as the external power supply.

PC/Laptop (With Mini HDMI Port)

OR

When using the laptop as a power supply for the monitor, please make sure the laptop output power is over 5V/3A. If not, please connect the monitor to an external power supply.

Other Devices

Note: Please connect the power supply cable first and then the Mini HDMI to the HDMI Cable to ensure the smooth transmission of signals.

How to set your PC/LAPTOP Monitor to duplicate or extend displays

1. Connect your monitor to a power outlet and an available port on your PC.
2. Right-click the desktop and select either Screen resolution (Windows 7/8) or Display settings (Windows 10).
3. Click the Multiple displays drop-down list, and then select Extend these displays, or Duplicate these displays. Note if you cannot see the additional monitors) listed, click Detect. If does not work, try restarting your computer and do steps again.

How to Rotate Your Screen

1. Connect your monitor to a power outlet and an available port on your PC.
2. Right-click the desktop and select either Screen resolution (Windows 7/8) or Display settings (Windows 10).
3. Click the Orientation drop-down list, and then select Landscape or Portrait screen.
   • Note: if you cannot see the option of Orientation on your laptop/PC, Please check if your laptop/PC has this function.

OSD Function Introduction

• Short press the “Roll key” to open the setup menu;
• Scroll the “Roll key” up or down to choose the function;
• Short press the “Roll key” again to confirm;
• Short press the “Power / Return key” to go back;
• According to different usage scenarios, different brightness can be adjusted.
• Set the display image according to personal preference.
• Set the image color according to personal preference.
• Set the OSD according to personal preference.
• If the HDR mode is enabled, the color picture will be richer when playing games or watching movies.
• Set the display image according to personal preference.

Care & Cleaning

1. Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the cable. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with a mild cleaner.
2. Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:

1. You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
2. When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
3. When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact our tech support to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself !

Troubleshooting FAQ

1. Power is not ON
   • Press the power button to check if the monitor is in the ON mode.
   • Check if the cable is properly connected to the monitor and the power outlet.
2. The monitor is powered on, but there is no screen image.
   • Check if the monitor and the computer are in the ON mode.
   • Make sure the cable is properly connected between the monitor and the computer.
   • Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the pins are bent.
   • Connect the computer with another available monitor to check if the computer is properly working.
3. The screen image is too light or dark
   • Adjust the Brightness settings in the OSD menu setting (Picture > Brightness)
4. Screen image bounces or a wave pattern is present in the image
   • Make sure the Type-C cable is properly connected between the Portable Monitor and the computer.
   • Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference.
5. The screen image has color defects (white does not look white)
   • Inspect the Type-C cable and make sure that none of the pins are bent.
6. How to duplicate or extend displays
   • Connect your monitor to a power outlet and an available port on your PC. Right-click the desktop and select either Screen resolution (Windows 7/8) or Display settings (Windows 10).
   • Click the multiple displays drop-down list, and then select Extend these displays or Duplicate these displays.
   • Note if you cannot see the additional monitors) listed, click Detect. If does not work, try restarting your computer and do the steps again.
7. Can it support Apple Phones?
   • Yes, please get an adapter(Lightning to HDMI) if you need it.
   • Note: Please use a branded adapter to ensure a good connection.
8. Can it work with Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard?
   • No. The monitor can not work with Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard directly.
   • The Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard can pair with your Phone, and then connect your phone to the monitor.
9. Can my MacBook Air work with this display?
   • Please use a Mini Display adapter to connect your MacBook Air.
10. The screen of the monitor shows No signal
    • Please unplug the wire and reconnect.
11. My Android Phone has a Type-C port. It cannot work.
    • Not all mobile phones with a TYPE-C interface can work with the monitor.
    • Please check the Type C port of your Android Phone whether it supports audio and video signal transmission. If you don’t know it, please consult your mobile phone service provider.
12. My Android Phone has a Micro USB port. Can it work?
    • Yes. You need to buy an adapter. But we don’t recommend it. The clarity of the picture will be affected, and the experience will be worse than that of the other phone.
    • Note: Please use a branded adapter to ensure a good connection.
13. Does this monitor have a built-in battery?
    • No. It doesn’t have.
