A USB-C connector is located on the front of the Hybrid battery pack. Attach the included USB charge cable to this USB-C connector.
Connect the other end of the charging cable to a USB-port (either from a computer, car or a USB charger/adapter connected to a wall outlet).

Next to the USB-C connector is a charge indication LED, showing the charging status:
- Red light = battery is charging
- Green light = battery is fully charged

Note! When battery is fully charged the battery automatically switches to maintenance charge. However, never leave a battery unattended while charging.

INSERT THE BATTERIES (HYBRID OR AAA)
Open the battery lid/back panel of the lamp body and insert the batteries. Please note the battery polarity, printed on the inside of the battery compartment.

Note! Either Alkaline, NiMH or Lithium batteries can be used.

Note! Do not mix different brands of batteries. Do not mix batteries with different levels of discharge.
Note! If you don’t intend to use the headlamp for several months, make sure you remove the batteries from the lamp.

ADJUST THE HEADBAND
The elastic headband with anti-slip rubber on the inside is designed to give a comfortable fit at all times. Adjust the headband by moving the sliding buckle to fit it onto your head.

MAG-SNAP – MAGNETIC MOUNTING
Both the lamp unit and the included helmet mount has a magnetic surface that enables easy mounting and switching between head band and helmet. The magnetic surface on the lamp also lets you snap the lamp directly onto metal surfaces.

To detach: slide the lamp upwards and out of the bracket.
To attach: place the lamp onto the bracket and let the magnet lock it in place. Make sure you hear a click.

HELMET MOUNT

The helmet bracket comes with pre-mounted adhesive tape on the back for easy mounting on any helmet. The adhesive is a polyethylene foam tape developed to not damage or cause any type of weakness to the plastic in your helmet, but make sure that your helmet is suitable for this by checking its specifications with the manufacturer of the specific helmet.

Remove the protective film covering the adhesive tape on the bracket.
Make sure the surface of the helmet is clean and dry. Firmly press the bracket in correct position onto the helmet. For optimal effect – you should leave the attachment in this state for at least 24 hours before using it.
To attach/detach the lamp from the bracket – see Mag-Snap above.

The helmet mount is designed to fit most helmets without a visor. If the helmet has a visor – the Silva Mag-snap Z-mount can be bought as a supplement. The Z-mount lets the visor pass under the lamp.

BUTTON LOCK
On the top of the lamp unit there is a push button which controls all light modes. This button can be locked to prevent the lamp from being lit by accident.

To activate the button lock: make sure the lamp is turned OFF, press the button with an extra long press (3 sec). The red LED next to the symbol on the side of the lamp will start flashing (the red front light will also light up briefly). When the red LED next to the symbol stops flashing and lights constantly – the button is locked. If you try to start lamp with button lock activated the LED next to the symbol will flash red to indicate that the lamp is locked. To deactivate the button lock: press the button with an extra long press . The red LED next to the symbol on the side of the lamp will start flashing. After 3 seconds, when the button lock is deactivated, the LED next to the Unlock symbol will turn steady green. Now you can start the lamp as normal.

DURING USE

SWITCH ON YOUR HEADLAMP
The push button on the top of the lamp controls all light modes.

Note! When toggling to MAX mode, the lamp will flash shortly as a visual indication to let you know which mode you are in. This is helpful to prevent unnecessary button presses.

SILVA INTELLIGENT LIGHT
This lamp features Silva Intelligent Light which combines a long reach spot light with a close flood light. The lamp head is tiltable to give you the right light, exactly where you need it.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
The temperature of the lamp body will increase during use and cooling is an essential part of how well the lamp performs. The temperature of the lamp is affected by the brightness level, ambient air temperature and airflow (wind). The lamp unit is equipped with a temperature control sensor that prevents the lamp body from overheating by reducing the power to the LEDs.
Note! The lamp can get very hot!

Always make sure to activate the button lock when the lamp is stored in a closed compartment such as in a bag, pocket or similar.
Keep away from children.
Make sure that the lamp does not come in contact with sensible or flammable materials.
The front glass or heat sink must not be covered with dirt or other materials while the lamp is switched on.
Do not touch the front glass with bare hands.

Never look directly into the lamp while switched on.

BATTERY STATUS INDICATION

When the lamp is switched ON or OFF – the LED indicators on the side of the lamp will show the current battery status for 5 seconds. To check battery status during use, the lamp needs to be switched OFF.

The LED indicators indicates the following:

4 green LEDs = Fully charged
3 green LEDs = 75% of the battery remains
2 green LEDs = 50% of the battery remains

1 green LED = 25% of the battery remains
1 red LED = 10% of the battery remains

AFTER USE

MAINTENANCE

To make sure you get maximum performance from your headlamp, clean it regularly with a damp cloth.
Headband cleaning: rinse in warm water. Open battery compartment and wipe dry if lamp has been exposed to heavy rain or accidentally submerged.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT.
Lamp unit, batteries and packaging are recyclable. Please dispose these items at designated recycling stations.

Silva warrants that, for a period of two (2) years, your Silva Product will be substantially free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Silva’s liability under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing the product. This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser. If the Product proves defective during the Warranty Period, please contact the original place of purchase. Make sure to have your proof of purchase on hand when returning the product. Returns cannot be processed without the original proof of purchase. This warranty does not apply if the Product has been altered, not been installed, operated, repaired, or maintained in accordance with instructions supplied by Silva, or has been subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, misuse, negligence or accident. Neither does the warranty cover normal wear and tear. Silva is not responsible for any consequences, direct or indirect, or damage resultant from use of this product. In no event, will Silva’s liability exceed the amount paid by you for the product. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
