Because there are many different versions of fobs, it is important to remove the sensor cover first to determine what kind of batteries are required for your equipment. We advise you to check before purchasing batteries.
Preparation
IMPORTANT customers who use myadt.ca*** Before removing the sensor, place the panel on test mode through myadt.ca. After logging in:
- Tap [Home]
- Tap [Place on Test]
- Enter your expiration date and time
- Enter your password
- Tap [Yes-Proceed]
Parts Required
- One GP 27A 12V, 20mAH alkaline battery
- A small flathead screwdriver
Instructions
- Turn the fob on its side and place the flathead screwdriver into the indent
- While gently pressing into the indent with the screwdriver, shimmy back and forth until the two sides separate
- Remove the old battery
- Place the new battery in the battery slot
- Close the fob by aligning the two covers together and press together until the fob is closed
- Arm and disarm the panel with the use of the fob
***If the low battery alert does not clear or if the panel shows sensor tamper, walk through the steps above once more. It could be either the batteries or the keyfob cover not on properly***
