Congratulations and thank you for purchasing your new Sonik® Sizzla SuperStove. We are sure that it will provide you with many years of faithful service. Please take a few moments to read this manual. The advice it contains will enable you to get the very best performance from this product.

For safe operation, please read and comply with all instructions and warnings contained within this manual before connecting the fuel supply. Keep these instructions for future reference, failure to follow these instructions can result in fire, serious personal injury or death!

ASSEMBLY AND PRE-USE INSPECTION

  1. Uncoil the hose and fold out all four legs. Use the leg adjustment screws to extend and level the stove if required.
  2. Position the stove so that the piezo ignition switch is within easy reach. Ensure the stove is level and has a secure and stable footing.
  3. Fold out all four pan support arms.
  4. Turn the flame control knob to the off position (clockwise).
  5. Check the O-ring seal is intact and in the correct position.
  6. Connect a gas canister to the stove by carefully screwing it to the gas canister connector. (Turn canister clockwise as viewed from the underside) It will stop naturally, then tighten firmly but do not over tighten. (Compatible gas canisters comply with EN417 Butane-Propane mix safety specification).
  7. Ensure there are no leaks between stove and gas canister.
  8. Never place a connected gas canister next to the stove, always extend the gas hose for maximum separation between stove and gas canister.

MALANGIZO OGWIRITSA NTCHITO

  1. Turn the flame control knob one quarter of a turn anticlockwise. Gas will be heard exiting the stove burner. Press the ignition button to ignite the stove.
  2. Use the flame control knob to regulate the output power; turn anti-clockwise to increase and clockwise to decrease.
  3. When you have finished using the stove, turn the flame control knob to off (clockwise) and check the flame is completely extinguished. Allow the stove to cool completely before handling and packing it away.

  • This gas stove is designed for outdoor cooking use only.
  • Never use or ignite this stove in an unventilated area such as in a tent vehicle or other enclosed space.
  • Always ensure adequate ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Before each use, check the seals are clean, in place and in good condition before connecting to a gas canister.
  • Do not leave a fully assembled gas stove unsupervised especially while in operation or cooling.
  • Do not block the stove airway or burner holes.
  • CHENJEZO: Accessible parts may be very hot! Always ensure flame is extinguished and all parts have completely cooled before attempting to move or pack away this appliance.
  • Ensure that you keep your face and body parts away from the stove whilst it is in use to avoid burns.
  • Never place flammable objects on or near the stove when it is in use. Always keep a minimum distance of at least one metre between stove and any surrounding flammable objects or materials when in use.
  • If an abnormal burn is observed, immediately shut off the gas supply by turning the flame control knob to off. If this does not extinguish the flame use a fire extinguisher to put out the flame.
    Only unscrew the gas cartridge after the unit has completely cooled.
  • Please use this stove in accordance with these instructions and never dismantle or modify parts of this product (see also maintenance and repair)

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR GAS CANISTER

  • Never expose gas canister to direct sunlight or other heat source. It should be kept at under 40°C.
  • During use, always ensure gas canister is kept in an upright position and on a flat stable surface.
  • Always store away from ignition source and high temperature environments.
  • Install gas canister outdoors in a safe place, away from any flammable source such as an open fire or electric heater.
  • Never disconnect gas canister the stove whilst it is in use or before it has cooled.
  • Do not crush or throw into a combustion source.
  • For safety and to protect the environment, dispose of empty canisters responsibly and separate from other waste.

    (Ensure the appliance has cooled off completely before cleaning).
  • Regularly inspect the integrated gas seals for damage.
  • Only in a well ventilated area, apply a small amount of warm soapy water to all joints and junctions below the burner. Any leaks will be highlighted by the formation of bubbles.
  • If you detect a leak or can hear or smell leaking gas, never attempt to ignite this appliance. Disconnect fuel supply and contact the retailer of purchase.
  • If the gas pressure drops and the stove will not light, firstly check that there is gas remaining in the canister. Disconnect the gas canister as instructed above then gently shake the cartridge, you will hear and feel the liquid gas moving inside.
  • If gas remains, the jet nipple may be blocked. Inspect the Air Intake Manifold located directly below the burner and blow through the horizontal holes to remove any dust or dirt.
  • If this does not clear the jet nipple it may require further cleaning. Follow the steps below;
    1. Ensure you are in a well ventilated area away from any sources of heat or sparks. Ensure the stove is clean, dry, cool and disconnected from fuel canister.
    2. Unscrew the burner by turning it anti-clockwise (as viewed from above) and carefully remove it from the stove by sliding it out from underneath the pre-heat coil and piezo igniter probe tip.
    3. Unscrew the air intake manifold turning it anti-clockwise (as viewed from above) noting its orientation (for easy reassembly).
    4. Remove the jet nipple assembly from the stove base by carefully sliding it downwards and tilting the pre-heat coil so that it clears the location hole in the stove base.
    5. Re-attach a gas canister and turn the flame control knob to on (anti-clockwise).
    6. Insert the 0.15mm needle tool (supplied with the stove) into the jet nipple hole until gas is ejected. (Do not insert or use any other pins or tools to clean the jet nipple as this may cause damage, leading to a safety hazard).
    7. Turn the flame control knob completely to off (clockwise) and dis-connect the gas canister.
    8. Reinstall the jet nipple assembly, feeding the pre-heat coil into its location hole in the stove base.
    9. Slide the piezo ignition assembly over the Jet Nipple assembly then firmly screw back into place the air intake manifold to ensure an airtight seal.
    10. Reinstall and firmly screw down the burner to ensure an airtight seal.
    11. Now follow the assembly and pre-use instructions procedure as usual.

  • This warranty does not cover faults arising from misuse, incorrect or negligent repairs and is only valid for products used for recreational purposes and does not cover commercial use.
  • No consequential loss may be claimed under this guarantee.
    Your warranty is provided in addition to any statutory rights.
