• While the coffee server is hot, do not submerge it in water, pour water on it, or place it in a wet location.
• Doing so may damage the coffee server.
• If it is damaged, exercise caution to avoid cutting your hands when moving the coffee server away.

3. Use the provided measuring spoon to add coffee grounds to the paper filter and smooth out the top.

4. Set the filter basket in the main unit.
   • ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ Make sure the filter basket is securely set in the filter basket set stand with no gap between the filter basket and the main unit. Otherwise, the coffee may not drip well, there may be a malfunction, or the coffee may overflow.
5. Set the coffee server on the main unit.

     • Set the coffee server securely so that its bottom fits into the server stand. If the coffee server is not in the correct position, the coffee may spill.
     • Do not use anything other than the dedicated coffee server. Doing so may cause coffee to overflow resulting in burns and malfunction. It may also result in spillage onto the table or rug.
6. Remove the water tank and add water.
   • Add water up to the scale line for the number of cups of coffee that you want to make.
   • ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ
     • Always remove the water tank before adding water. If you add water while the water tank is attached to the main unit, excess water will flow into the water pipe and the amount extracted will increase.
     • Pour water into the water tank. Adding hot water or boiling water and then performing the dripping operation may result in malfunction.
     • Do not add water above Immersion/Classic scale line 6 (for iced coffee, the Iced scale line 6). Doing so may cause coffee to overflow from the coffee server.
     • If the water tank is filled with more water than is required for the number of cups to make, the coffee may have a weaker taste.
     • Depending on the temperature of the water used, the flow at which water is pumped may vary, possibly leading to variations in the strength and amount of coffee that is made.
7. Close the water tank lid and set the water tank on the main unit.
   • Set the water tank securely on the main unit’s hook.
   • ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ
     • Do not use the coffee maker when the water tank is not properly seated. Doing so may cause the dripping operation to end prematurely.
     • Securely set the water tank on the main unit. If not set correctly, large amounts of steam will be produced, and this may cause burns and discoloration or deformation of the water tank.
     • After you set the water tank, do not remove it from the main unit. Doing so may cause water inside the main unit to flow back out, resulting in water leakage or a malfunction.

9. Press the [Menu] key to select the menu.

   • * With the hybrid brew, coffee is extracted using a special method that switches the water from high temperature to low temperature. The temperature of the coffee after extraction may be low.
10. Press the [Cups] key to select the number of cups (the amount of coffee).
    • Select the number of cups of coffee according to the amount of coffee grounds you added in step 3.
    • Each press of the [Cups] key changes the number of cups (from one to six cups).
    • With the Iced menu setting, you cannot select one cup.
    • With the Cleaning menu setting, you cannot select the number of cups.
11. Press the [Start Stop] key. (Dripping operation starts)
    • When the [Start|Stop] key is pressed, coffee extraction starts, two beeps sound, and the Start light turns on.
    • • ಇಮ್ಮರ್ಶನ್: approx. 3 to 8 minutes, • Classic: approx. 3 to 9 minutes,
      • Iced: approx. 3 to 6 minutes
      • The extraction time varies depending on factors including the room temperature, amount of water, and amount of coffee grounds.
      • You may hear a clicking noise during the dripping operation. This is the sound of the extraction outlet opening and closing. It is not a malfunction.
    • • If no operations are performed for approximately three minutes when the [Start Stop] key has not been pressed, all lights turn off. Pressing any key will return them to the status before they are turned off.
    • • Press and hold the [Start Stop) key. Coffee extraction cannot be resumed if it was canceled before it was completed. Add new coffee grounds and water and begin the extraction process again from the beginning.
12. After the dripping operation is completed, pour the coffee.
    • When the dripping operation is completed, three long beeps sound. Remove the coffee server after the hot water and steam have completely stopped.
    • If you select Immersion orClassic, the keep warm operation automatically starts.
    • Keep warm operation automatically ends after 30 minutes. To enjoy the flavor of freshly brewed coffee, we recommend that you drink it as soon as possible.
    • To stop the keep warm operation, press the [Start Stop] key.
    • If you selected Iced, the keep warm operation will not be performed when the dripping operation is completed. Make the iced coffee as described below.
    •  
      • Use boiling water or other means to heat the cup before pouring the coffee.
    • <When making iced coffee>
      • Fill an alass about 80% full of ice. nour the coffee. and then stir to cool the coffee.

      • Do not touch the server stand or the server stand cover immediately after the dripping operation is completed. Doing so may result in burns.
      • Even when the water tank empties, wait until the hot water and steam have completely stopped because the dripping operation will continue for a while.
13. After use, disconnect the plug from the outlet and remove the filter basket after it has cooled down.
    • Remove the coffee grounds together with the paper filter after the dripping operation.
    • • Wait for the main unit to cool (around 10 minutes), and then perform the dripping operation again starting from.

      • Do not touch the server stand or the server stand cover immediately after use. Doing so may result in burns.

Parts to clean as necessary

How to Clean the Appliance

Clean the appliance when using it for the first time or after a long time without use. Rinse the path inside the main unit with water.

1. Set the filter basket and the coffee server on the main unit.
   • Do not set a paper filter or add coffee grounds.
2. Fill the water tank with water up to the Cleaning line, close the water tank lid, and set the water tank on the main unit.

4. Press the [Menu] key and select Cleaning.
5. Press the [Start|Stop] key. (Cleaning starts)
6. When three long beeps sound and cleaning ends (Start light goes out), discard the water in the coffee server.

In the case of Poor Discharge of Hot Water or Longer Coffee Extraction than Normal

After using citric acid water to remove mineral components from the path inside the main unit, rinse out this path. It is recommended to regularly clean with citric acid.

1. Set the filter basket and the coffee server on the main unit.
   • Do not set a paper filter or add coffee grounds.
2. Add 2 tsp (0.36 oz (10 g)) of citric acid to the water tank, fill the water tank with water up to the Cleaning line, and then stir. Next, close the water tank lid, and set the water tank on the main unit.

4. Press the [Menul key and select Cleaning.
5. Press and hold the [Start|Stop] key. (Citric acid cleaning starts)
6. When three long beeps sound and citric acid cleaning ends (Start light goes out), let the coffee maker sit for about 10 minutes.
   • The mineral components will be removed from the path inside the main unit at this time.
7. Discard the citric acid water remaining in the water tank and the hot water in the coffee server.
8. Fill the water tank with water up to the Cleaning line and repeat the cleaning process one to four times to remove the smell of the citric acid water.
