    – locate the battery hole on internal control panel,
    – using screwdriver, switch both battery switches to the „ON” position to activate the batteries.
  2.  Connection of 24V 150W Power Supply:
    – The power supply is included with the device and should be connected to the AED Climate Box by a qualified electrician,
    – The 2-meter power cord can be extended as needed, but any changes to the electrical installation should be performed by a certified electrician.
  3. Connection to the Electrical Network:
    – After activating the batteries and connecting the power supply by an electrician, plug the power supply into the electrical outlet.

İlkin quraşdırma

After connecting the power supply, the device will start up in initial setup mode. This mode is characterized by the absence of any checks (no temperature or humidity measurements, no defibrillator presence check, etc.) and active an open Wi-Fi network for further device configuration. The active WiFi network name is unique for each device and looks as follows: AED_ Climate_Box_XXXXXX, where XXXXXX is replaced by a unique fragment of the device identifier.
The first startup mode is indicated by a brief activation of the speaker, pulsating internal LED lights, and alternating pulsation of the status LED in red, green, and blue colors.
To configure the device, connect your phone/tablet/computer, to the Wi-Fi network broadcasted by the device (for example: AED_Climate_Box_E0E664), and then open any web browser (Chrome browser recommended) and enter the IP address in the address bar: 192.168.4.1, then press Enter to proceed. It may happen that the page does not load because the browser automatically tries to connect using encryption (See Figure 1).

ABC 2 E Aed Climate Box - setup

To correctly load the configuration page, you need to replace „https” with „http” in the address bar and press Enter again (See Figure 2).

ABC 2 E Aed Climate Box - setup1

After loading the configuration page, the Wi-Fi network configuration tab will be displayed (See Figure 3). Following the field labels, you need to create your own network name, which should be entered in the field labeled „SSID,” and the Wi-Fi network password, which should be entered in the field labeled „PASSWORD.” This will allow you to control and view the parameters reported by the device. Restrictions: network name – maximum of 32 characters; password – minimum of 8 characters, maximum of 32 characters. Next, the user selects the cabinet model. The model depends on the cabinet’s equipment:

  • ACB-1-E/ ACB-2-E – cabinet with only the electronic module for communication with AED CONNECT,
  • ACB-1-EH/ ACB-2-EH – cabinet with the electronic module for communication with AED CONNECT and a heater,
  • ACB-1-EHV/ ACB-2-EHV – cabinet with the electronic module for communication with AED CONNECT, a heater, and fans,

After entering the provided parameters, press the Confirm button. At this point, the device will go through the sensor initialization stage and start operating. In case of a mistake, press and hold the reset button located on the board for 10 seconds. Then, reconnect to the Wi-Fi network broadcasted by the cabinet and start the configuration process again.

Sensorun işə salınması

The sensor initialization stage is fully automatic for the user and is performed each time the cabinet is restarted. The following actions take place during this stage:

  • Activation of the temperature and humidity sensor, accelerometer, anddistance sensor,
  • Initiation of communication with theWi-Fi microcontroller – retrieving settings and sending current status,
  • Checking the presence of the heater – the presence of the heater is checked by measuring the supplyvoltage (reference measurement), then measuring the supply voltage during a short-term heater activation (10 ms, operation measurement), and comparing  both voltages. Əgər cildtages differ by more than 50 mV, the heater is considered fully functional,
  • Initialization of the GSM modem and sending a report after startup. (Only for cabinets with the GSM module).

İş rejimi

The device enters operating mode after startup, successful initialization, and loading of settings indicating the need to enter operating mode. The presence of the device in operating mode can be recognized by the status LED state – it will be steady or pulsating according to the state table. In the case of a full and correct connection, the LED will shine steady green.
In operating mode, all algorithms necessary for the proper operation of the device are executed:

  • Monitoring of temperature and humidity sensor,
  • Control and maintenance of temperature according to user settings,
  • Control of operation, faults, and control of fans and heater (implemented based on a PD controller, controller settings are configurable),
  • Control of digital and analog inputs and outputs, external devices connected to the AED Climate BOX,
  • Activation of acoustic and visual alarms according to scenarios,
  • Control of the USB socket – the USB socket is hardware-controlled in case of an attempt to draw too much current,
  • Control of external lighting (if connected), internal lighting, and status LED,
  • Listening to state sounds emitted by the defibrillator and reporting to AED Connect,
  • Communication with the Wi-Fi module and GSM module to report changes in the state of the AED Climate BOX cabinet to AED Connect. By default, changes via GSM are reported every 15 minutes, while alarms such as door opening or defibrillator removal are reported immediately. Changes via Wi-Fi are reported every 1 minute, and alarms are reported immediately.

ABC 2 E Aed Climate Box - configuration1

8.2.1 Heating and ventilation settings

The Temperatures section (See Figure 5) provides the possibility to configure the thresholds for activating and deactivating the heater and fans:

  • Critical low – the threshold for heater activation; heating is activated below this temperature.
  • Heater off – the threshold for heater deactivation; heating is turned off once the desired temperature is reached.
  • Critical high – the threshold for fan activation; fans are activated above this temperature.
  • Vents off – the threshold for fan deactivation; fans are turned off below this temperature.

Correctly set thresholds must satisfy the relation: critical low < heater off < vents off < critical high. Any changes made must be confirmed by pressing the Save temperature button.
Qeyd: Temperature settings should correspond to the minimum and maximum operating temperatures for the specific defibrillator model. Temperature settings directly affect energy consumption.

ABC 2 E Aed Climate Box - configuration2

8.2.2 AED Connect communication frequency
The Cloud reporting section enables the user to set the frequency of sending status messages from the AED Climate BOX cabinet to AED Connect (See Figure 6).
8.2.3 AED presence detector calibration
The AED calibration section allows for the calibration of the AED defibrillator presence sensor (See Figure 6). Calibration is required when the AED Climate BOX is set to notify with an acoustic alarm and report to AED Connect when the defibrillator is removed from the cabinet.
The Calibration status field provides information about the current calibration status:

  • not calibrated – indicates lack of calibration for the height of the placed defibrillator,
  • calibrated – indicates calibrated height.

Before clicking the Calibrate button, familiarize yourself with the following information and the calibration procedure.
To calibrate the defibrillator presence sensor:

  • Ensure that there are no objects in the AED presence sensor’s working area (the area between the top and bottom of the cabinet’s interior),
  • Click the Calibrate button, which triggers the device to enter calibration mode, removing old calibration data and deactivating active alarms during calibration,
  • Open the cabinet doors and hang the defibrillator on the hook within 10 seconds.
Placing the defibrillator on the bottom of the cabinet is not permissible as it may damage the defibrillator due to the cabinet’s heating element.
During calibration, a periodic intermittent acoustic signal will be emitted, indicating the ongoing procedure and allowing time for placing the AED in the cabinet and closing it. The intermittent acoustic signal will be emitted for 10 seconds and will remain insensitive to the absence of the AED in the cabinet. The cessation of the intermittent acoustic signal indicates the end of the calibration procedure,
  • Completion of the calibration procedure will change the status from not calibrated to calibrated.

The SSID field allows entering the nameof the access point (the Wi-Fi network name to which the AED Climate BOX modem should connect), while the Password field allows entering the password for the selected Wi-Fi network. When entering values, similar restrictions apply as when setting up the SSID and password during the initial device configuration. However, in this section, the Password field can remain empty.
The Current SSID and Current password fields provide information about the current access data for the Wi-Fi network („—” indicates an empty field).

ABC 2 E Aed Climate Box - configuration5

8.2.7 Accelerometer Settings
The Shock detection section (See Figure 8) allows setting parameters related to shock detection (vandalism protection).
The Threshold field allows entering the threshold value for shock detection.
This field accepts values ranging from 10 to 30, where a value of 10 indicates high sensitivity to shocks, while 30 indicates low sensitivity.
Each change in settings must be confirmed by clicking the Save settings button.
8.2.9 Alarm reset
The Miscellaneous section (See Figure 8) allows the user to reset an alarm upon request. Pressing the Reset alarm button will deactivate the audible and visual signals, while the alarm information will still be displayed in the status field.
8.2.10 Zavod parametrlərinə sıfırlama
The Factory reset section (See Figure 8) provides the option to restore the device to its factory settings (i.e., the state before the first startup). Pressing the FACTORY RESET button will erase all settings and restart the device in the first startup mode.

Operation on emergency battery power

The device is capable of operating solely on emergency battery power. In the event of a main power supply failure, a timer is activated (3 seconds), after which the presence of the main power supply is checked again. Further absence of power triggers the device to enter partial sleep mode – the WiFi and modem modules are completely turned off, and only alarm reports are sent to AED Connect, while cyclic reports are ignored. Exiting partial sleep mode is achieved in reverse: upon detection of the main power supply presence, a timer is activated (3 seconds), after which the presence of the main power supply is checked again. Continued presence of the main power supply triggers the complete awakening of the Wi-Fi and modem modules. The following circuits do not operate on battery power: heater, fans, internal and external lighting, battery chargers, USB.

Məlumatların saxlanması

In the event of a disconnection from AED Connect, the data retention mode is activated. The device records the current timestamp (local) and the temperature inside the cabinet every 15 minutes. The device’s memory is sufficient to store 16384 data records. Upon reconnecting to AED Connect, a frame containing historical temperature data is sent.

Table of states

In the operating mode, the status LED and the sound signal behave according to the following state table.

At any given moment, the AED Climate BOX can indicate only one state using the LED and sound signal.
The states are presented according to a specific priority:

1. Heater failure 6. Doors open
2. Fan failure 7. No main power supply
3. No Wi-Fi network 8. Batareya azdır
4. No GSM network 9. İstilik
5. No AED 10. Havalandırma

Siqnal vəziyyətləri

The device has three triggering sources for alarms:

  • Door opening (2-second delay after opening),
  • Defibrillator removal,
  • Shock detection.

Each alarm source has its own characteristic alarm operation. Alarms are also partially dependent on each other (door opening and defibrillator removal). The sound signal operation during an alarm state depends on its operation mode; the priority signal is continuous, meaning that opening the door during a shock alarm will not change the alarm operation mode to fast interrupted. Factory alarm scenarios:

  • Door opening – interrupted alarm, internal lighting in strobe mode,
  • Door opening and defibrillator removal – fast interrupted acoustic alarm after door opening, internal lighting in strobe mode. Continuous alarm after defibrillator removal (duration of 60 seconds). After 60 seconds, the alarm resets; the door alarm rearms after closing,
  • Door opening, defibrillator removal, door closing after 30 seconds – fast interrupted acoustic alarm after door opening, continuous alarm after defibrillator removal (for 60 seconds), internal lighting in strobe mode after door opening, continuously on after door closing, alarm resets after 60 seconds,
  • Door opening, defibrillator removal, door closing after 100 seconds – fast interrupted acoustic alarm after door opening, continuous alarm after defibrillator removal (for 60 seconds), internal lighting in strobe mode after door opening, continuously on after alarm duration, alarm resets after 60 seconds,
  • Door opening, shock detection above threshold, door closing – interrupted alarm after door opening, continuous alarm after shock detection (for 60 seconds), internal lighting in strobe mode after door opening, continuously on after door closing, alarm resets after 60 seconds,
  • Shock detection, door opening – continuous alarm (for 60 seconds), interrupted alarm after 60 seconds, internal lighting in strobe mode after door opening.
