Epidermis (epi in sensu graece "super"+ dermis "cutis") est extremus duorum tabulatium formantes cutem. Intimus tabulatus est dermis.[1] Epidermis impedimentum praebet contra contagionem pathogeneris viciniae [2] .[3]et moderatur quantitatem aquae relinquenti ex corpore in aerem ut evaporatio. Extrema pars epidermis est tabula cellularum planarum sedentes super cellulas columnarum.
